Ashley & JP's Wedding Special - 12/16 - Episode Discussion

Loved, loved, loved the wedding and was overwhelmed by home much these two love and respect each other. Ashley was a beautiful bride! And they both seem to have their heads on straight and their priorities in order and in line.

It's crazy that they met on a t.v. show but thankfully they did (as JP said). So glad we could watch their special day!

I've had so much fun this AM reading this thread and seeing so many friends and familiar usernames (your faces are your avies! ). The wedding was so incredible and touching. I wish them all of the best forever and personally, they restore my faith in many things. :27:

I'm watching the wedding which I recorded last night, loving it. But I have one question... JP's best friend, Sean...um, how come we've never seen or heard of him before. He's beautiful...

I'm pretty much in love with Ash's dress. Not so much the train but the dress itself is phenomenal.

I was torn last night. Survivor finale vs JP and Ashley. Choices, choices. Thank goodness for the PVR. Since I didn't know the outcome for Survivor I went with that live and then watched the wedding after.

It was a beautiful wedding and these two are so in love it is ridiculous. I bawled pretty much throughout. Couple of notes:

Loved JP's mom. It is lovely to see how much she loves her new DIL...and how much that love is returned.

Loved how both Ashley's dad and step dad walked her down the isle and how both were in tears when hugging their new SIL.

The vows between JP and Ashley were so touching and how they looked at one another was amazing. It is no wonder they wanted to kiss before the ceremony even started...I was just amazed they could hold off so long!

Enjoyed seeing some of the Bachelor nation alums. Favourite line is a tie between Jason commenting on Sean's abs and Ryan noticing the lack of pink.

Wish they did not cut away to commercial in the middle of the wedding ceremony. That was my only quibble with the show. CH did a really good job officiating and I just wish they had the commercial before the ceremony and showed the whole thing all in one.

Have to say, now that I have watched all three of the Bachelor weddings, I must admit this is my favourite. Trista's was just too over the top ... and pink ... for my tastes. While Molly and Jason's was great, it seemed rushed because of the rain and I think they were a little jipped in the wedding departement due to the circumstances....as if they were the red headded step child of the show. Jash got it just right. Beautiful, tasteful, and most of all, heartfelt. So glad they decided to share their special day with us.

Personally, this is why I watch this train wreck of a show. In the hopes, that somewhere, amongst all the crazy, are two people who find each other and fall in love despite it all. Fate works in mysterious ways! To JP and Ashley, their families...and Boo...Mazel Tov!!!

I did not know til I went to their website this morning, that ABC has an app for the IPad to watch their shows. So I downloaded the app and watched the entire show this morning, because flipping back and forth between the wedding and Survivor, I knew I had missed quite a bit. It was a great wedding. So nice to watch something so joyful after the last few days.
