Brad Smith - Bachelor Canada Season 1 - Discussion

You guys call each other “cheeseburger”—where did that come from?
BK: It’s kind of funny how it happened. He called me a cheeseburger because I made him this little picture with the map of the world, and I mapped out the places where we’d travelled and called it our Journey of Love. He saw it while we were cheers-ing, and he said, “Oh, you’re such a cheeseburger!” And so instead of saying “Cheers,” I said “Cheese,” and it kind of stuck. It’s kind of our thing now. Everyone’s calling us cheeseburgers.

]If I understand that article at all, they just didn't see each other in person for the months of Sept and Oct. Considering how much of a press train Brad was on for the 2 months the show was airing, they likely didn't have much of a chance, but did see in several articles of how they were skyping each other. Also according to several interviews, they really look happy.

At first I didn't think I would enjoy this season with Brad. One reason being, he wasn't someone that I could see me lusting over. LOLOL ( or so I didn't think at the time) However, as the season went by, I had to eat crow coz I now think he is one of the best looking guys to ever be the Bachelor. I think his realness, his personality and his quick wit and humor makes him a very handsome man, plus his good manners. Having Bianca at his side doesn't hurt either. : ) When I think of how I enjoyed his season compared to Ben's, Jake's and a couple others, I agree MF should stand up and take notice of how this show can and should be shown. That is if he ever plans on having a Bachelor stay with the one he chooses at the end

I truly hope they have another season of Bachelor Canada and hope they have the "Ette" verision of it, too..The only thing they could make better is that we in the US get to see it sooner.

I said after the the last 2 couples crashed and burned here that I would not get my hopes up again about any of these couples staying together past the 4 to 6 weeks period, but B and B have changed my mind. I think there's an aura about them that lights up a room and they just ooze of being in love. Now they better NOT prove me wrong. LOLOL I'm glad you stayed true to who you thought he was gonna pick, Auntie and didn't think just because they do it a certain way here meant they had to do it a certain way there. :cutesmile!:

Knowing that MF and his editing crew didn't have a thing to do with this season, and seeing what Brad and Tyler were saying on twitter about trusting him about his decision, the only reasonable ending would be that he didn't choose Whitney and did choose Bianka. ALSO, never in the history of the franchise whether that be USA, Europe, or any other had 2 women come to the FRC dressed in the same dress and shoes, therefore, it would reasonably mean that there was only one person being shown. Whether only one actually showed up or not is another matter that I didn't know for absolute. Then when that tweeter came out and the timing of it being right after the WTA/FRC tapings when the final 1 and lead normally get some time together, I thought I had it right. Plus when you look at the sc's of the dress and shoes, to me, the only one there would be Bianka.

I really do think that this couple will make a go of it. They seem to be doing everything right from the get go and knowing this is the first season, I can't see why the franchise would want anything more than sucess for the couple as that would mean success for the franchise too. I really hope that they have a great future.

Oh thanks so much for the YouTube video.. It's adorable.. I wish people would make more of them to show how funny and in love they are. He truly lights up when he's looking at her and I so respect a man that can cry in front of millions when he is happy like Brad was/is. Those two times he cried was two of the times I thought he was most handsome...

I knew it was Bianca in the dress. I could tell by the shape of her hips, but I knew you were doing a great job of proving it was the same dress and shoes that I just stayed out of it. I still believe that tweeter saw them in Arizona. BTW do you know what Brad and Bianca's tweeter names are? I'd like to follow them . Thanks!

Thanks for feeling as I did with the dress/shoes. Also, you are bang on right with how Brad has come across. Not as a whiny guy, but as a man that is confident in his own skin to show how he feels.

Thanks for the twitter names. You are so right about how Brad came across when he cried. Who could tell the story of how his two friends died and not cry, unless they are heartless (as Whitney came across when she sat there and listened to it dry eyed) As soon as I saw that he was crying at the FRC I thought it was from tears of happiness when he saw Bianca. I respect a man that can show his emotions the way Brad did. In fact, who would want a man that can't show his emotions? Not me. LOL. That would be like having a Whitney. : )

I can't wait to see their wedding. I think they really compliment each other and I don't think he would have moved in at her mother's home if he wasn't 100% sure it was going to work out for them. They've had 5 months to figure all of that out. Oh yeah, I've been meaning to ask why was it 5 months apart for them there when ours is normally around 2 months ? Thanks for chatting with me tonight. Honey had to work and my grandson had been out, so I was all by myself. : )
