I think the People-Daily News discrepancy points once again to how unreliable information can be. Not only can and is the source information often wrong, but bad information is then compounded by the headlong rush for each media outlet to get the word out. As someone aptly pointed out, there aren't any fact checkers in this business.

My Pasadena wedding source told me that the story about JP and the train getting caught may be a fantasy element also. I have heard a couple of things from her. First, the train apparently was massive and unwieldy. In fact, the wedding planner was able to achieve some drama with it as Ashley came down the aisle. Apparently, the train was intentionally not fully unrolled, i.e., several feet of train were rolled up on the top of the train as Ashley pulled it down the aisle. As JP met her, they both ascended the platform that held the Choopah (hope spelling is not too far off). As they ascended, the end of the train eventually reached the stairs, and, as Ashley reached the top and walked across the platform, the remaining 1/3 of the train dramatically rolled out (gravity pulling it back down the stairs). My contact called this little touch breathcatching.

The second observation made by my source was that Ashley had to position and re-position herself a couple of times during the ceremony. For example, the first time was when she had to turn right in front of Chris Harrison to face JP, who had turned left. There apparently were a couple of such events, and JP made adjustments to the train. My source indicated it looked they knew in advance the train would be unwieldy and had practiced (perhaps during rehearsal). (She also noted that the earlier drizzle and rain had left the wooden walkway damp thereby preventing the train from sliding smoothly. That little Ashley is really tough.)
