If my memory serves me correctly(and I know it does), quite a few posters here saw pre-show indications that he was not what he or TPTB wanted us to assume he was. Assuming never does well; there is an old saying regarding it and I firmly believe it.

In my opinion, there is very little in these discussions that is NOT assumptions or impressions, because none of us actually know these people. I don't feel there is any "win" to be had here; all of it is opinion based on limited information. Pretty much everyone who goes on the show is less than they'd like us to think they are. They are shaped into characters upon which viewers can place their own ideas and fantasies, and none of it is ever real, the good or the bad.

Oddly, Sean seems to have helped keep Jef's name moving around Bachelor Nation. That one puzzles me. Although he probably just answered a question as politely as he could without thinking about the rumble it would create.

Since Sean has answered the next bach lead question a couple of times now by saying "Jef" and Sean has been a company man for awhile, I think tptb had him answer that way to 'run the idea up the flag pole.' We talk on this site often about the lagging ratings and the need to bring in the younger demographic, so tptb would surely look at a lead who appeals to that set.

If RS is correct in his statement someone posted up thread about most of the producers not liking Jef, etc., Jef better think twice about accepting the gig if it were offered to him. They could very easily turn the fan love into extreme hate, and take great pleasure in doing so, and if they were to cast him, I think that's exactly what they would do.

I guess for me consider the source, RS hates both Jef and Arie, so he would find joy in spreading crap about both of them.

I liked Jef his season, liked the idea of PeopleWater, have been less impressed with him after the show.

But I actually met him and his parents at an event here in North Augusta, SC. They were all very nice and very genuine and put up with lots of crazy people wanting his time. I really liked his parents and talked to a few people who were not mormon, but who they were still helping during their mission time in our area. I have to say, the Holms in general impressed me.
