The Bachelor Canada - Media - Discussion

VANCOUVER — A casting call for eligible women has been launched for a new Bachelor series.

The Bachelor Canada, scheduled to run on Citytv this fall and produced by Vancouver-based Force Four Entertainment, is searching for bachelorettes to vie for the attention of a discerning bachelor.

The call for bachelorettes begins today at the Citytv.com/BachelorCanada website.

This version of the wildly popular Bachelor franchise will run for nine episodes is already in pre-production and will begin principal photography in the spring.

“The Bachelor has long been a fan favourite on Citytv and we look forward to putting a Canadian spin on this thriving franchise,” Claire Freeland, director of original programming for Rogers Media, and executive producer of The Bachelor Canada, said in a media release. “Canada is brimming with eligible bachelors and bachelorettes and we’re excited to offer them the opportunity to embark on their own quest for love through this entertaining series.”

Citytv will release details on its search for a Bachelor at a later date.
