Banners - Discussion Thread #1

Since some people are already starting to make their banner, I am going to open the banner contest.
I have some guidelines, but please make whatever you like! :o)

{1} The banner must include picture(s) of Ben Flajnik, our newest bachelor.
{2} Banner size:  No smaller than  800x288
{3} Text: Anything that you want.
{4} Colors: Any colors.
{5} When your banner is completed, please send it to Love_Me or San (me).
{6} Have fun! Yes, this is a guideline...Have fun with it! :o)

The deadline will be November 1st so that we can start voting soon afterward. If this is too short of a deadline or too long, please let me know! I can change it. ;-) If you have any suggestions, please let us know in this thread!

You should go for it albean! I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with. If by November 1st it's too soon and no new promo pics come out, I can push the deadline back some. :Nod:

Some of us really want to see Ben on the banner. Sooner the better. After all, he's been our focus for quite a while. Any reason we can't cycle though Ben banners?

That sounds like a good idea. We'll have a poll for people to vote for their first favorite and then leave that one up for a while. Then we can rotate the rest of them throughout the season. Maybe? :o)

Eeks, I just got a warning from my anti-virus that this thread has something dangerous!

What does the warning say? Let me know and I will contact tech support about this issue.

I use Norton and my internet browser is Firefox. Everything checked out when I scanned it.

Okay, I thought about it and came up with another idea, but I want your feedback on it.

Since people really want the banner changed as soon as possible and November 1st is a while away, I was thinking that maybe the entries could be due this Tuesday, then Tuesday we'll put the poll up, and voting will be up until this coming Friday. Then Friday we can put up a new banner. What do you think? Do you think it is too soon? I was thinking that we can do this so that we can put a new banner up by next weekend, but for the people who can't make theirs by this Tuesday, they will get the chance to make a banner at a later time because we will be changing up the banners throughout the season.

Please let me know what you all think! And send in your entries with the banner you made to Love_Me or San (me). Thanks so much for being a part of our board. It has become so successful thanks to each and every one of you. Each person's contribution to the board is what makes it so fun and awesome! Love you all!!

Could we cycle through each banner for a few days between now and Nov. 1st so we could see how it looks at the top of the page? That way it would change to Ben right away and also give everyone a few more days to get a banner entered for votes. Plus I'd really like to see all the ones entered get a shot at having their entry be at the top of the site for everyone to see. Sort of a way to honor the work they put in. Thanks.
