Not only did Ashley mention that she feel asleep on J.P in her blog after episode 3....they had her talking about it to him in episode 4.

Which tells me she wanted people to know that happened because she thought there was a chance TPTB would not have included her talking about it in episode 4.

Whatever it means down the road, I think falling asleep with him was (is?) a big deal for her. I also think that Ashley was "apologizing" for it in order to kinda gauge his reaction and wanted him to say exactly what he said- that he loved it, blah blah blah.

Again, WHY would she say that if Ben is the F1? If she wanted to mention it without making Ben upset, she could have said something like, "I was so tired, I fell asleep. I felt so bad for JP" or something along those lines.

I can't even imagine how he must be feeling if he's F1. Not only did Ashley "fall in love" with Bentley, she didn't even notice him til half-way through because she was making out with JP and drooling over how "sexy" he is and how "magical" his kisses are.

I loved when Ash was talking about having a hard week he acknowledged "Right" and she said something about getting back onto the horse and his reply was "you are a smart girl, you'll figure it out". I see him treating her as an equal rather than someone to be rescued. Loved, but not necessarily needing rescue. I love that about this exchange. I just don't know if Ash does

I guess, like you said, it depends what Ash needs. To me, it almost seemed like he was brushing it off. I know that he wasn't, but he certainly didn't want to talk about it any more either.

Great post and great observation. Ben is impressing me more and more.
But he seems a little young for Ashley so I'm not quite sure I want to jump on any bandwagon yet. As of now with this whole Bentley thing that is consuming her, I would imagine she'd be better off figuring herself out before rushing into a relationship.

With regards to edit, I am already seeing the familar pattern of seeing what we want to see, depending on who our favorite is. It happens each season. That's why I'd never make a good sleuther, I always have a favorite I get too attached to, haha. Give me a task of finding white wicker chairs...I'll do that! But interpreting edit, blogs, etc....I would be too biased.

The excellent sleuthers are those who could truly separate their feelings from the process.
Right now, the JP fans are sure the edit is pointing to him, and Ben fans ( ) are saying the edit screams he is the winner!

Not in actual years. She reads like she needs someone more mature. Maybe not .

I personally think she needs someone older, more mature, more worldly-wise as she is very innocent, vulnerable, and sometimes naive. I don't see her as a strong, confident woman -- but that might change once she gets rid of Bentley!
