Now I understand why RS got the goods this year, the producers knew it was going to be a losy show so they give him all to report. I am wrong JP wins big enough to admit it and move on from it. Time to sit back and just watch the stupidity of it all. Fleiss gave RS his due this season hopefully we have something better to do next season. That is why the edit is wonky she choose her final 1 night one and all the others got a good vacation.

I agree that JP is F1. I however have also done a 180 in that I no longer want Ben to be F1, F2 or TB. Just get away from TPTB as quickly as possible.

I noticed somewhere else on this thread that the guys may be so angry this season they are spilling to RS themselves. Who knows. I would not blame anyone for doing so.

The longer this lunacy continues, I find myself hoping for an RS Fleissing with a Ryan or nobody ending. Or an F2 no-show or F15 bring-back or Bentley coming back to reclaim his woman or something else equally unbelievable. Oh, or JP as F1. Any of those will do.

I really was just summarizing all of everybody's thoughts and not really adding anything original :giggle: Except for the part about why the negative edit for Ashley doesn't necessarily reflect TPTB's view of her relationship with her F1.

I just read a CH interview posted in Media where he says Ashley's happy and almost cocky when she comes out of her talk with Bent but it isn't until the RC that she realizes the repercussions of the whole thing in terms of how the guys will react. I find that very telling. First off it makes it obvious the Bent stuff in the more recent episodes was played up for storyline purposes. Second, that means they're going to deal with straight on the issue of how Ashley can pick anybody after the Bent thing and possibly also why any of the guys should trust her after the Bent thing. The storyline should shift. Will Ashley get the redemption edit she's probably been promised?

wow, as if the producers/editors haven't beat up enough on Ashley, she is now going to be shown getting sh*t from all the guys about her (hopefully former) Bentley obsession. I do think how upset with her the guys get will give us some insight, in adverse proportion, into who is really into her. The guys who get really angry/offended are likely the ones whose egos are more bruised by learning about Bentley than anything else. And I doubt we will see a lot of this reaction from JP, Ben, Ryan or Ames.

Totally agree! Don't want our sweet mellow California man to get his heart stomped on by TPTB! Hopefully this experience has opened him up emotionally and he will meet a wonderful woman in real life soon. [/quote]

He has seen her dance - and her passion for dancing (first group date). Ben makes her laugh - haven't seen JP make her laugh. She says she wants someone who makes her laugh. JP was not on the dance group date. She fell asleep on her first date with him - yes comfortable - but wouldn't you want to be with him - getting to know more about him?
What does JP know about Ashley - he seemed to fall instantly for her - which is possible, I know.
Ben tells us he is ready to find love - so no hurdle there. Perhaps she just fell for JP and that was the end of it - but she says she likes surprises... and she seems in such a turmoil about her feelings for Bentley.
The screencaps of Ashley and JP kissing and holding each other - could be posed. As could the kissing of Ben with Ashley.
I am not saying she did not fall for JP the first night (she in fact says I don't think Jp will be calling me Cupcake - but you never know ...) - but I am not seeing anyone else posting that there may be some wiggle room here ... Isn't there any doubt at all ?

I don't know what Ashley needs - if it is comforting and somewhat of a strong hand - I think JP would be the better one for her. Ben seems to want to live and grow side by side - and respects her abilities to figure things out.

Ben doesn't seem to have a hang up about falling in love - he sounds like he's jumpng right in. I thought it was cute at theDance Show performance when Ben said "I'm not leaving !"

I do think that the whole Bentley thing has been overdone.I am sure Ashley was finished with him before HK but the producers wanted to ramp up her insecurity and the drama that comes with that which leads to Bentley's HK return. I think many people are not giving Ashley enough credit and that's not fair to her.She's being edited just as much as the guys are.

CHO I still think that there is something between Ben F and Ashley. I find them very endearing to watch. Puppies are endearing too but you wouldn't want to date them.I do see passion between them but I don't think it's on the same scale as JP and Ashley's passion.

That's pretty much where I am too. The more we get to know about him, the more endearing he becomes. But, not a good match for Ashley. He'll be happier finding somebody on his own, in the real world.

I deleted parts of your post to address just the sentence quoted. I believe she said something like, "I don't know if he'll be the one to call me Cupcakes, but you never know." Quite a bit of difference in those two sentences.

I like Ben and think he has a lot to offer--just can't see him with Ashley. I'm on the "maybe Shawntel train."
