Physical JP only became obvious this past episode because of that extremely amazing beach scene, before that it wasn't in our face at all. I think Ashley is a very physical person, that is how she shows her love for someone, as she admitted in one of her dates, I think with Ames, that she's looking for the "physicalness". As for JP and Ashley, it's definitely physical and that is so important, but I don't see only physical, so many little things stick out for me, her rubbing his shoulder when she came to get the guys in Ep 3, sitting closer to each other in front of the guys than Ashley sat with Ben on their 1 on 1 time, the touching each others faces and wrapping her hand around his neck when they kiss, handing her a glass of wine when she showed up to the RC, holding her gloves in the SC for next week....

They made a point of showing Ashley's hands in her lap on her 1 on 1 time with Ryan, just after she told him that she is looking for someone who makes her want to flirt and touch and feel. She did touch Ben with one hand last night at the very end of their kissing scene, so I will give them that.

I know when I was transcribing the PI's yesterday, I had to stop and start the video yesterday while doing the PI's during JP and Ben's 1 on 1 time, the facial expressions, depth of kisses, touching, body language was definitely not on the same level at all. Will Ben catch up in the "physicalness" department & end up with her, sure maybe, but my gut is saying no, but that obviously doesn't mean much and I've only ever picked the right one once in the past.

I was thinking a bit more after my first post about my feeling that JP will be the one Ashley picks. These comments inbold resonated with me. The more I thought about Ashley and JP's first 1 on 1 date, the more I remembered the little things, the special moments. I also think that there was a good deal we did not see. Ashley mentioned in her blog that she ended up falling asleep on JP's chest. That represents a level of comfort, feeling safe and secure. It's more like an emotional feeling than a physical one. I wish we had seen it.

I also think that JP had a difficult task in going into this date after Bentley and his cruel mind games. He had to reassure Ashley, make her feel comfortable and let her know that he found her attractive. The fact that she wanted to get into sweats shows that she did feel a level of comfort with JP. He accepted her as she was and she badly needed that. He may now be developing insecurities because he has some real feelings for her and understands that he will be sharing her with some other great guys. However, on that night, in that moment, he gave her what she needed. The fact that she is still moping about Bentley is apparently something that none of these guys can fix.

When JP and Ashley were just standing there, holding each other and kind of rocking slowly, I think that was more than just a physical connection. In his ITM's, JP has expressed his own surprise at feeling as much as he did after one date. He also said this week that he doesn't know if he should get emotionally involved now, because he doesn't know where Ashley's head is at. I think these are honest feelings from a guy who seems to be falling for this girl.

I am not here primarily to make the case for JP. I am just expressing my observations. With all their editing and scheming, I have found that if you watch and pay close attention to what you do see, sometimes you can learn a good deal. I will be happy with whoever Ashley chooses. It is her life and she has to do what is right for her. I also think Ben F. is a great guy. I am liking him more every week. I loved the scene with him, JP and Blake. He was trying to help JP and tell him not to think about Ashley kissing other guys, because it will drive him crazy. Then he said - I can see you're already getting there. I think that was great of him to try to help JP get through this experience. I do think JP is uncomfortable with the fact that he has these feelings for Ashley and is in a situation that he has never been in before. It's one thing to think you can handle it before you get there, but quite another to actually be in it.

I also think that maybe JP was telling Ashley how he feels with those kisses on the beach in the rain. Sometimes, it's easier for guys to show their feelings, rather than verbalize them. Yes, there was sexiness and chemistry between them, but for some reason that I cannot yet explain, he had a little moment of time with her and wanted to say it with passionate kisses. It was different than the way he kissed her on their first date.

Now I have to stop thinking about this and get some sleep! I have tried to catch up on as much info as possible here. There are many genius sleuths who are doing incredible work. I am grateful to be a part of the intelligent discussion. I wrote too much, but I have been dying to find a place where I could pour out all these thoughts. I will try not to make a habit out of it!

Are you kidding? Please write more! This is a great group and we all (most of us) have something in common -- we like to guess the outcome based on the clues we see and our knowledge of editing tricks. And the cool thing is that at the end of the season some of us are right, some are wrong, and it's all good! Welcome!!!

I find it interesting to read what people see as f1 edit. I don't have a strong feeling for any of the guys yet as far as Ashley goes. The negative I see for JP being f1 is the way he was edited on the last episode vs Ben F. Right now based on edit alone I'd put him as f2. Ben F is getting a more stealth edit that is building in contrast to JP who was there early on. That to me seems more f1 in Ben's case but who knows? I'm going to wait to see what the future edits are. Fleiss loves to fool the viewers so JP may be too obvious.

I see it that way too Anders.........seems like Ash is initiating the contact with Ben.......JP seems to initiate the contact with Ash........kinda reminiscent of a F2 edit, the one that is doing the initiating. When the lead initiates it, shows she wants it........to me, a F1 edit??

That’s my take on it. JP is getting a classic chemistry edit (Moana, Bevin, Chantal, Charlie, Kirsten), Ben is getting a more hidden/babysteps edit (Sarah, Tessa, Emily, Jen), and we saw this past episode Ashley hang with Ben and him notice it – there is something very sweet with those two that not happening in the nether regions. Friends first – I don’t see a friendship with Jordash, pure physical lust.

Yes, they do make a point of showing Ashleys hands on her lap, even though Ryan has his hand on her leg. Something about that scene I found interesting so I watched it in slow motion. When Ashley reaches out and touched Ryan sayiing she wants that "physical-ness", you actually start to see him leaning in towards her, whether for a kiss or a hug, but they edited that out. Probably a good thing considering it was on the heels of her time with JP.

That is my biggest redflag with JP. It's just too easy. I felt the same way with Chantal. Her saying from very early on that she Loved him and all the chemistry they had... I just couldn't believe that Fleiss was just "handing" it to us.

This could be the one instance that he decided to, for once, show us the love story. We'll see in a month or so.

His comment about it being a "BIG" day also stuck out at me. Was that the turning point for them? Is this a clue or a red herring? That 1 on 1 time was also spliced so who knows what was left on the cutting room floor. *sigh*

Since we are discussing edit I think you should look at the edit for the bachelorette as much as possible since this is the female lead.......

Mederith chose Ian her Chemistry/physical edit over Matt her emotional/stable edit guy..

Ali chose Roberto her Chemistry/physical/ hot edit over emotional Chris

Deanna chose Jesse but would have been Granham his edit was physical vs Jason who was stable/emotionally..

So for what I am seeing the femal leads tend to pick chemistry/lust over emtionally connection most of the time...

Of course Ashley could go with anyone she wants to I am just pointing out that alot of the examples are focusing on the edit from the males in their sesaons but we have a female lead and just maybe we should look at the edits from the rettes......
