Honestly, the armchair psychologist in me has no idea really. I do have to say that once upon a time I was rooting hard for Jill/Reid and Ali/Chris because I saw them precisely like you described above- equal partnerships. However, I'm thinking that's not what the women who are cast as Fleiss' Bettes are after in the long run and this includes Ash.

I swear, I think they all grew up in the 16th century where a strong warrior was needed to protect the homestead so the village isn't raped, pillaged and burned by the neighboring tribes. Suspect

The pic of Ashley and Ben F kissing reminded me of Ali and Roberto in NYC when Ali entered the cocktail party and they showed a split second of the two embracing.

Anyway, the L&S mag points to the gig being up for tptb. They over did the edit with their Bently garbage by losing some viewers and now they are trying to win them back by telling us she fell in love with someone. They needed to do this otherwise no one will believe the ending and it hurts the F1. I do believe it and to me it points to JP. To me he would be the only one "gushing" over his new fiance. Ben F does not seem the "gushing" type to me. I definitely see it as JP whatever else was in there that I read sounded like him too. It was also a way to give a shout out to JP that his fiance is as thrilled as can be.

I see JP as a gusher more than Ben too. JP is already gushing about her in ep2 and seriously, I have no idea why. Whatever floats his boat though. :awesome:

I think he was showing confidence in her strength. I didn't see it as a brush off. The warmth of his smile let us know that he cares for her.
He self describes liking "cultured girls with things going on". I will be anxious to "meet" his mom and especially his sister.
Didn't Ash speak of her F1 as making her want to be "better". She has competed successfully in dental school at UPenn which is no easy task. She is not trusting her judgement in matters of the heart (with good reason thanks to TPTB) Ben is supporting her trust in herself. yes

Ashley has said she wants the "physical-ness" in a relationship. I only see that with JP. Great post and great observation. Ben is impressing me more and more.
But he seems a little young for Ashley so I'm not quite sure I want to jump on any bandwagon yet. As of now with this whole Bentley thing that is consuming her, I would imagine she'd be better off figuring herself out before rushing into a relationship.

Thanks nd. Part of me wants this too, but I don't think MF will allow it...she will have an F1 come hell or high water or both.

I thought this from before the show started after what we witnessed with Brad, it seemed like she just wasn't ready for something serious. Or at the very least needed a guy who could fit himself more around her life then Brad could. :greenman:
