If she does DWTS and spends the fall in LA, Ben can come visit her from Sonoma and they can date for a while, JP can find a nice, more mature NY girl (I'm sure they'll be lining up), and Bentley can try to get back with his ex or start hanging out in NC so he can pursue Emily.
I can kind of see why Ryan is annoying to the rest of the guys (and they pretty much all agreed that he was, including both JP and Ben F, so there's got to be some truth to it). He's always "on", and over the top, he also seemed clueless that the other guys didn't really care for him, which further proves the point that something is off there. He seems like the kind of guy who doesn't think the glass is just half full, but totally full, all the time. That attitude is great for being successful in business, but if he never dials it back a notch in his private life, it can be very hard to live with. I actually don't think he's fake or disingenuous, like the guys have said (which is what Jake was IMO), he's just truly a little "unique". I'm sure there's an equally unique woman out there who will connect with him, but it's not Ashley. I sort of hope he's not the next Bachelor though, because I don't see a whole season of his personality wearing very well. Right now, I'd love to see Ames as the next Bachelor; he's so articulate and doesn't speak in trite cliches. We might actually get a season of intelligent conversation for once!

I'm starting to think along the bolded too ironcat I think after the number that Bentley pulled on her that she goes for the uber-safe choice in Ben F. Probably best for all if she did this. JP looks like he doesn't need the kind of fall-out that comes with the Bach, especially if it's not a true love match and he was only chosen for the sake of choosing somebody. Ben really doesn't look like he's really all that into it, and it'd probably be easier in the long run for it to just peter out in California.

I can actually see certain parallels with Jill's season, starting with the similarity of the leads, cute, petite, career women, who wouldn't be traditionally viewed by guys as "hot", and who have serious self-esteem issues as a result, in this scenario, and wonder if the guys are really there for them. Both fall for a "bad boy" who ends up leaving on his own, causing her to be heartbroken. Both try to recover with much more sympathetic "fan favorites", who appear to be more sincerely interested in her. Then the bad boy returns. We know in Jill's case, she took him back and ended up with him, whereas in Ashley's case, the opposite happened. Maybe that's the point, to let viewers have a "re-do" and show what would have happened had Jill not taken Ed back?

It sounded like something was cut out of the JP/Ashley conversation and I wonder if JP didn't make a statement of his feelings ala Chantel last season. They want us to think the big move was lifting her up and carrying her back to the group but was it?

TPTB are obviously demonstrating a strong emotional connection to Ash on JPs part.

I noticed that when JP was talking to Ben and somebody else, not sure who, the other two guys seemed to acknowledge JP's obvious attraction to Ashley and that he seemed jealous when the other guys talked about being with her. Not sure what it means in the long run, but I think it's safe to say that JP is truly feeling it for Ashley.
