It would be interesting this season if RS was fleissed into thinking JP was F1 when Ashley actually walked away alone (opposite of Ali's season) either by her decision or the F1's decision.

But both Ashley and AshleyS have made it clear that she's not single.

Now episode 7 leaves us to wrap our heads around either the fact that Ben is her forever love during her 1 on 1 date OR that the guy who has been displaying shades of jealousy is the man for her. I would say both are pretty much a strech at this moment.
Yeah - I think TPTB need to put up a enormous sign in huge bold letters pointing to the F1 for us to be able to interpret their clue.

this does still play into the season edit that she walks away alone. It's been there all along, Bentley overload, a shakey F1 edit for JP, and the tragic/non-committal edit for Ben.

Either they do put up that big red arrow tonight, or I will have a very hard time getting behind whomever her F1 is.

Personally, i don't think we'll see a lasting relationship for Ash - no matter who she picks.

don't forget that this was the episode that Emily shone - Brad guaranteed her a rose at the RC during the date. I'm pretty sure JP is F1, but I'm open for Ben being F1. I think tonight's date will be pivotal for Ben's edit and why he's at least F2.

ITA that this episode will be the turning point for Ben, if things are going to turn in his favor. He has an overnight date, plus JP is going to get jealous. Plus this big clue. If Ben really is F1, it will be interesting to see if the producers/editors will be able to pull off a successful shift in the minds of the viewers, to both make it somewhat believable that Ashley fell for Ben enough to get engaged at the end, and to explain why JP was not the best choice for her when most now think he clearly is. Not to mention generate enough overall interest in Ben to keep their attention for the rest of the season. That's a pretty big task to accomplish in one episode.

So as of the begining of episode 6 she was still moping about Bentley and wanted to get her "closure". By the end of episode 6 (more than half way through the season) she is "free" of Bentley and able to move on and find a forever love with someone. Right.

Selfishly my enjoyment of the show is all about solving of the puzzle not getting on anyone's love train. For me it's about fitting the pieces of the puzzle together, trying predict the outcome, what is she thinking etc why are they showing us this and that? I seriously think I've become immune to falling in love with any of the leads and their suitors.

I still do not see this as a done deal and will continue to play devil's advocate. I agree that there are lot's of things that point to JP at the moment, but the main PROs for a JP F1 finish are Ben's constant tweets and JP's "quietness", Also so far there doesn't seem to be any doubt voiced by Ben yet. The main CONs (for me) is that JP's 1-1s have both been short evening dates and for me he seems a little too eager and competitive. Sometimes Ashley seems receptive (my goodness he is a hot kisser) and sometimes her body language with him when the other guys are around is a little off to me. Can't wait to see tonight's episode to see this so called "clue" that's being hyped.

ETA: ITA Blondie, If Ben ends up being F1 this would go down as one of the strangest F1 edit. For him to be a contender and the "slow burn" we need to see some fireworks tonight. Also selfishly I'm holding out for RS to be duped a second time!

My mind is open to anything happening with this crazy show because this season I have no favorites. Truly I have never seen such a hidden edit if Ben is F1. My eyes and ears are open but for me, at this point, the story line (does Ben have one?) and edit lead to JP being F1 .... but I am not done watching this show. I am probably the last person that wants to agree with RS. :giggle:

When I was first posting on the Fort, it was during Bob's season. Try being a newbie, no background of posting about previous shows and no friends on the board, and saying on the "Kelly Jo is F1" board that Estelle is F1. :shock: Talk about going over like a lead balloon! :hidingchair

It is not that we want to stop posting but some here seems to like to talk down to us if we dont agree with their post or their train of thought.

Sadly its what I've been noticing increasingly happening here. Very sad indeed. I have also noticed that a few have stopped posting as much as previously because of the tidal wave taking place here.

I would be interested in a Ben as F1 speculation list over either in the EDIT thread or the Ben contestant thread!! I am not good at sleuthing but I like to try to read the edit and the storyline so it might be fun!! No evidence is ever proof until we see that first arrival! I know usually for the bette the chemistry edit is the F1 but this was not the case in Deanna's season when her F1 left early (Graham/Bentley). We could continue the list after their 1 on 1 this week. :awesome:

Not sure if the meaning of my post came through - probably didn't. For me its not about Ben winning or JP winning. Its none of that. I'm not Ashley so it is really no skin off my back. I like watching the show and love posting here with all you folks. That joy has been partially diminished and I will be posting a lot less (not that i post 24/7 either but I do check the boards whenever possible). I noticed there are a few that have been posting a lot less too. There is a reason for this which I find sad and for the most part those reasons have been debated and talked about by others on this thread. As I said, I did have fun while it lasted and will post more often when I see some sort of change though with the next episode (7) I'm not holding my breath.

Perhaps I should :hidingchair anyways now.

I have to agree. I think it's a great board but sometimes it's tiring to have any post that supports another outcome jumped on and having to defend your position. I think there are a a lot of reasons that it probably is JP but that there's still doubt and could be Ben or even someone else. We have plenty of season left and I just think some want to declare a winner now and may be missing something.

Bloomers, I made my one and only comment on an AOL article in 1997. I didn't agree with the vast majority of hate-filled commenters...when I awoke the next morning my email box was filled to the brim with the most vile, vicious, personal attacks I have ever read. I even got death threats! There are a bunch of wackos on AOL.
