The edit has done exactly what it was intended to do which is confuse people. Anyone who actually thinks that JP took a popularity hit last night is just grasping at straws. That was not a bad edit at all. Now Ed, that's what I call a bad edit. Ian also had what I would call a bad edit. JP and Ben should be very happy with producers. They've been very nice to them.

Trying to bring this thread to a more "positive" level....

I don't post often but feel the need to chime in. In talking with a another Bachelorette follower (who is on the JASH train with me) we agreed that after last week's show the edit was going to take a sudden shift. No way were they going to hand JP to us on a silver platter. After watching last night and reading the boards this AM, Fleiss has done has done his intended editing job. While we may have never seen a jealousy edit in the F1 before, it was a perfect one to use, imo. Some people see it as a negative trait for JP, others see him as being more communicative, authentic and real. In other words, the edit has brought Ben more to the forefront and and it is getting people to talk about the show which is what Fleiss wants.
I still believe that RS was fed good info this season. No way, no how, is Ashley dumping JP at the F2 position. I may have rose colored glasses but I think they're working this season.

RS has been accurate about this season so far. BUT he is going to rightly face a lot of skepticism about his F1/F2 spoilers because he's had to correct himself late in the season for both Brad's season and Ali's season, the most recent 2 seasons in the B/ette franchise. He may be right this time about F1/F2, he may not. We just don't know yet which is why we're still looking for clues.

But just like we shouldn't ignore all elements of RS's track record, we can't ignore that Coastal's sources were wrong about Ryan not Ames getting a HTD. We'll see if they're also wrong about Constantine being eliminated next week at the HTDs. But it still doesn't mean the rest of his/her info is wrong, just that we should take info with a grain of salt JUST like we're taking RS's F1/F2 spoilers with a grain of salt.

Well we all ready have screen caps of Constantine on a Fantasy Date so i guess that means that he doesn't get send home at the Hometown Dates, anyway that is what i would assume.

I definitely see a set up for Ryan's return. Her misgivings in her PI plus how long they focused the camera on him when he left totally feeds into a return in Fiji. However, I'm not sure that Ryan's return will factor into her decision-making about WHO she'll choose, because she's clearly stated (more than once) that the romantic feelings were missing. He will affect HOW she gets to her end decision, but I don't see the WHO. Do you believe differently Coastal, based on your information?

Yup, like I said, they apparently spend more time together than what RS has said, then there is the issue of the maybe connection beyond the security and other attributes she is feeling from Ryan. There is definately more to tell. I have serious reservations as to whether JP is the F1 as RS states. Still too many unanswered questions out there that need to be finalized. Ben is looking more and more like the likely F1, IMO.

Coastal needs to apologize to no one. All she has done is re-iterate what her sources have told her. Thats all. And she has said that repeatedly.
So if her sources are wrong ... they are wrong. No one here is getting themselves into a twist because an unnamed source is wrong about any or all of the details on a scripted and highly edited reality show that most of us watch to be entertained and to have fun figuring out.

Not everyone has perfect sources............RS I don't think has ever sleuthed to find locations and anything of the sort...........he waits to be fed info. I have done a lot of sleuthing this season and have found the proper locations for dates..........just sayin.

but we're not talking about finding locations. it's kinda easy when you're given pictures to go off. pretending like you solved the 8th wonder of the world by finding where ashley's dates are when you have clear pictures to go off is not the same thing. great. you found where ashley had a date in 7th episode. is that a big deal? how about actually finding stuff out before pictures are even shown about the season and telling everyone what's gonna happen before it does? you're comparing apples to oranges now.

Yes, it's apples to oranges. I understand what you're saying but is it necessary for you to put down sleuthing? Both are big deals. RS is a spoiler guy, Coastal's trying to spoil and sleuth and the spoiling part so far this season has some holes but that doesn't mean Coastal should stop trying. Did RS stop trying when he got a couple spoilers wrong? No and that's a good thing. Coastal's also a good sleuther.

Yes sleuthing is not the same thing as putting out spoilers without any proof that turn out to be true (sometimes). Something sleuthing can poke a hole in a spoiler, sometimes sleuthing can confirm a spoiler. They are complementary to each other and I've never understood why anybody'd pit them against each other. Ultimately they're supposed to serve the final goal which is to get the ending before Fleiss and his minions give it to us. The fun for both the apple part and the orange part is beating Fleiss to the punch.*

I am getting offended not for being attacked for the sleuthing myself, but there are numerous other sleuthers on this board........excellent sleuthers that are getting pulled down the insult tube with me right now.........I will apologize to those sleuthers for getting dragged into this nonsense by babymama.

It's very easy for someone to say well my source told me to look for something during the 7/11 episode that hasn't already been spoiled and hasn't been in SC's and I saw it. Coastal does not tell us what that particular piece of the puzzle was. I understand wanting to get all pieces and then come back and state his/her case.

I'm just trying to put the pieces together and getting confuddled because Coastal's source has been incorrect about Ryan getting a HTD.

coastal, you're missing my point. i don't care how many sources you have. you could have 30 for all i care. but if none of them feed you information that is actually true, what does it matter how many there are? you've already one "set" of sources didn't know anything by the garbage you posted about Ryan getting a HTD and not Ames and that Constantine was going home after HT. i just think you need to actually post something that is actually RIGHT if you want people to actually believe what you say. that's all

Kinda easy to print when you are being fed all the info, now isn't it?? Have you ever done the sleuthing?? if not, then it is really easy for you to act so nonchilant about taking lamps and making them match, etc when all you have is a picture..........try it sometime, you might be surprised................then again, I suppose you'd wait till you are fed the info just like RS. Sorry that is going to come across as harsh, but it is a lot of work to sleuth out things and there are a lot more sleuthers on here than just me.............I am kinda thinking you might be actually alienating them now as well. Not too nice to come on here and rip apart a lot of people in one foul swoop.........not too easy to make friends when you act that way..........just sayin.

Thankyou..........points well made. I don't think that I have ever stated that I had a perfect track record with my sources. But I do know that when it came down to brass taxes, I did take the sc's and sleuthed out the proper locations..........not FED info to just have to print. Just sayin.
