Something about "keep my eye on the prize"San wrote:beader wrote:LuvnIt wrote:
I am not great at expressing my opinions or thoughts butI just don't see JP being competitive IMO Being competitive in this case is a guy being competitive and doing everything they can to win over the girl because they just want to be the winner i don't see JP as that type i do believe he is what you could say wooing her. IMO the guys that came up with the corny lines and actions at the M&G were the competitive ones.
Yes, like the ones who make statements like, "I'm here to win," "She's the prize," "I'm in it to win it!" Actually Roberto made one statement like that (can't remember what) fairly early in the series, but I do remember that there were several posts about him being too competitive. So a "competitive" statement doesn't necessarily knock someone out of F1.
That said, I think JP would make a great next Bachelor if for some reason he is not F1.
Yup, Roberto did say something like..."at the end of the day, it is a competition..." Can't remember the exact statement he made though.

Oh, I thought that was Chris L. who said that.

Haha! Let's just say, both the F1 and the F2 that season said something similar.

Actually I think it was something like "getting the girl in the end" if he stayed out of the drama or something.

I think contestants also get the competitive label when they are seen trying to hog the attention of TB, at the expense of the others; ie, monopolizing their time at the cocktail party when they already have a rose, or trying to sabotage another contestant's chances for no good reason. And of course, getting called "fake" in this environment usually means that they are seen as not really being interested in the lead but trying to win anyway by putting on a false persona.

Maybe so dee. Do you happen to remember what episode they said these statements in? :giggle: I could go back and check what they said. I feel like it was in an early episode.

I remember him making such a statement when Crazy craig and Jesse B were going at it in the kitchen.San wrote:dee wrote:Actually I think it was something like "getting the girl in the end" if he stayed out of the drama or something.

I Loved Jerrry Faris (sp?). Could not believe she didn't pick him at the AFRC. But, time moves on and they are both happy now. I believe he's engaged or with someone?? Anyone know? And we know Jen is happily married and had a baby.
He's got a girlfriend as of the last show done with update on 20/20. I haven't heard that they've gotten engaged.
Jerry Ferris is engaged and you can find his proposal to his gal on You Tube don't know if i am allowed but here is the link to his proposal very romantic

I agree beader...I think it is good to keep in mind that Ashley, after all she has been through, may really need a guy to pursue her in a competitive way. She needs a guy that is going to be there for her and reassure her he is "in it", in order to overcome her two biggest fears of; a) the guys being disappointed that it's her, and b) the guys choosing to leave.
I think being rejected in the prior season does a number on most Bachelorettes. Remember how upset Deanna got because the guys were not being competitive enough...most of her guys were content to just hang out with each other, well except for maybe Jeremy. Even Graham was not competitive and didn't want to be one of many guys kissing her on a date.
