I feel badly for whoever is F1. They have made it look like Bentley was the guy that she truly wanted. She really isn't doing anything much to refute it with her interviews, and that one clip shows that what she said was that (paraphrase) JP had in the kisses, but Bentley had it in the heart which is just not very reassuring.

Agreed,which is why I hope if Ben F is F1 we really start getting a storyline that points us in that direction or people are going to finish watching the FRC and thinking "Whoa,I never saw that coming?" Which could be what MF wants for all we know.

Emily was fan favorite becasue of her story line single mother with child and the death of her fiance, and the under dog to chantal.

I believe this as well. We have seen 3 episodes. I think everything starts again in episode 4. I think she finally sees other guys and Ben is at the top of that list. I think by HTDs he and JP are close in her opinion. Now, JP may still have a fabulous HTD,FD etc and ultimately be F1 as RS says. But I think there's also a good chance it is Ben who has the fabulous HTD etc. His being a bit more shy, guarded, or whatever puts him behind when openly competing with the guys. He has two 1:1 dates coming up and then from HTDs on it is all 1:1. A lot of time for Ash who admits she falls fast and hard to fall in love with Ben. We also still have the monkeywrench of Bentley coming back and I have no idea was this does to the mix. So stay tuned. I still think this is a long way from over.

IMO and from what I know abouit last season, the main point for the editing last season was to keep RS spoiled as long as possible. They had set up an elaborate ruse to spoil Chantal as F1 They wanted RS to hang himself as much as possible. Anyone remember when he did his reversal? IMO had FORT not initiated refrigeratorgate, he would have remained in the dark longer. They were willing to do that despite the effect upon some of the cast -especially Emily, Chantal and Brad .... and it affected them all. I guess the point is that TPTB had their heads elsewhere than creating a good show and so last season is probably not a terribly good benchmark.

I agree that this is far from over, but I wonder if JP will be a bit like Jesse on Deanna's show, that he is always around her, quietly popping in on odd moments. If JP is the F1, I think he will be the thread that runs through the story, always challenged in her affections by someone else. At Episode 3, Will and Ryan and perhaps Ben C still are in the running alongside JP.

I am a huge Ben F fan (with even the little air time he has been given. Darn you TPTB) but even I can not deny the strong bond J.P and Ashley have.

We are almost to episode 4 and Ben F, Constantine, and Ames have had little to NO interactions with Ashley shown.

So my questions is even knowing what I was told long ago...How in the heck can it be anyone other then J.P that winds up the F1?

I would make a list, but it isn't even worth it until we see more of her with the other three guys.

NV. There is no way we can make comparisons yet when we have seen virtually nothing with three of the F4 guys. The first three weeks were the Bentley show. Now maybe we can move on for two weeks and see what happens before it's back to the Bentley show again. hmmm

If her F1 is smart and realizes what she is dealing with as the show aires then it may work out. It would be a real shame for him not to realize the crap she went thru after seeing the past 2 episodes.

Yes, she said that when Bentley left. However, a week later, she talked about how JP's kisses were "magical" and "the best she's had there, by far." Hopefully, if Ben is F1, that was said BEFORE she ever kissed him.

Great post Jelle, but how do we know MF isn't doing the same thing to RS two seasons in a row? We have to consider it as a possibility. Will another source please come forward??? :awesome:

It will be over when she sees him to let go because someone else will have stolen her heart by then. Ben F is very interested in her, but he is shy around her with the whole process, he does have a hugh crush on her, he is watching trust me, he will strike when it is right.

I luv, luv, luv JP and I hope I am wrong. But, for me, it's shaping up to be a JP F2 season.

I've been lurking for a few days, finally decided to post. I agree that the Grapevine video made me think it's not JP. But I don't think he's F2, I think he's Deanna - might have been F1 but she picks nobody. I don't see how anyone else can believably be the F1 at this point. We really haven't seen her interact with Ben F though, so maybe I'll change my mind after I see them this week.

I started to doubt that it's JP on the 1-on-1 date when he said 'you get hurt, then you move on' thing. I immediately thought they were setting him up to get hurt this season, then move on to find his amazing girl next season as the Bachelor. Then in the Grapevine video when he said he felt confident they were into each other it sealed my fear. When I hear the word confident I assume that TPTB left it in because it will prove false. My only hope is that I've never been right in predicting the outcome of this show, so hopefully that continues this time because I love me some JP.

JP just like Chantal would make the best next lead in my opinion. Everybody's in love with him already!

He's too outfront and too early. He is confident. We hear him say in a preview that, " I am confident. I am into her, and she is into me."
Now all of that may be true!!
However, on the Bachelor, the guy isn't supposed to say that. It is considered a little too brash or bold. He is supposed to be a little more humble than that.
It doesn't matter that several of them may have said it; what matters is who we hear edited to make the discriminating statements.

I am wondering if this is about Ashley going through several guys until she gets the right one. For instance, she gushed about Ryan, and we are talking about the roses he gets, and the way she kisses him. We know that she was enamored somewhat with cutie-pie William, and good grief, but did she ever fall over her head for Bentley.
JP is next in line, and if so, does it stop there, or is there another one before it is over?

Now, something to consider is that we have not seen Ben. It is true that it is highly unusual for us to even consider Ben at F4 for anything, but we know he gets to F2 at least! Something strong is happening somewhere...

Now, previous to last season, I would have said, "No way, no how would I ever consider Ben in the running for this thing.....

Now? Why not? Last season, although Chantal was spoiled F1, her edit looked clearly like an F2 to me, and Emily's didn't even look like a good strong F2, let alone an F1. That Emily was an F1 with her edit at all, let alone up until the date in the 7th episode in Anquilla beat all I had ever seen! :what:

I am now beginning to think that if they could have an F1 Emily with that F1 edit last season, they could be even more outrageous with the edit this season if they chose to do so. They basically hid Emily as the F1.
Yes, we saw Emily in every episode, but believe me.....we did not see Emily as the F1. That was the craziest edit job - I called it "wonky" I have ever seen, and I made no bones about it.

I am going to have to watch this more closely before I am convinced that the lovable, full of chemistry JP is F1 and not F2; I want to be sure that Fleiss and the editors are up to more shenanigans this season.

If Emily was so "hidden", why was she the fan favorite among the casual viewers? Everybody I spoke to, and every poll had Emily as F1. The only people that didn't see Emily as F1 was boardies, partly due to RS but mostly because we didn't see Emily all that crazy about Brad. Last year it seems like that was the year of the "straight up love story" as it showed from beginning to end Brad falling for Emily and the majority of the viewing audience was thrilled!

IMO, every season has a different edit, because every season there's a different story to tell due to the circumstances that surround the lead and the contestants. This year we have Bentley who messed with her head .... that had an affect on how the rest of the season went. We know he's going to return and so is Ryan .... that's going to affect how the edit is done too and possibly the outcome of the show. Ashley's insecurites and the added confustion that Bentley added to it are IMO what's going to determine this years "story" that he producers are trying to portray. I think we need a few more weeks of dates to further see what journey Ashley is on for her season as 'ette before we're going to be able to figure out what ending the edit is trying to lead us to.

She was the audience and fan favorite, but she did not have an F1 edit. There is a difference. Just because people WANT someone to win doesn't mean they have an F1 - the winner - edit.

Brad hardily touched Emily. They didn't communicate well at all. People on the board who know edits were left scratching their heads and saying, "What is going on, here?"

The fans were hearing her tragic story and seeing this beautiful, young widow, and they fell in love with her. They liked the idea of her winning. But - that wasn't what the story was telling us at that point....
Brad was having this hot (story) affair with Chantal.....
Brad and Emily began touching a little more in the water in Costa Rica, but it wasn't until EP. 7 in Anquilla on their beach date that the edit began turning to an F1 Emily.
