They either changed their opinion about Emily after watching the show, or they do not respect her choice of the guy. And no, it's not bitterness and jealousy.

I remember reading an article like this about Ashley's MTA taping, and the reporters all said the guys only had adoring things to say about Ashley. Not the case with Emily clearly. Emily's guys accused Emily of ...WHAT?

Does anyone think that if Emily ended up with Sean, the sentiment would be different? Same with Ashley, who ended up with JP who was well-liked and respected in the house in general. Emily's guys do not seem to think very highly of Jef.

I kinda liked Ryan. He was a hoot last night. Even Ryan said in one of the interviews (I dont remember what interviews but it stood out to me ) that if Emily were his sister, he would pick Sean for her.

Emily is doing things on the bachelorette to win favor with the audience. I will not be surprised if she gets some TV gig in the future.

I only saw that Charlie and Stevie were saying that she said the same things and I didn't read about any of the other guys saying negative things about her (I'm sure Kalon did) For Charlie I think a bit of it was bitterness over the fact that Kalon stayed longer than he did and Stevie wasn't around very long at all. I'm not sure where you read about them not respecting her choice of a guy - and unless they read the spoilers would they know it was Jef? I do think that some of them thought she would pick Sean but everyone here pretty well agreed that on paper he would have been perfect for her. The only thing I read that a couple of them accused Emily of was saying the same thing to the guys. If you have read a different article than the one posted here I'd like to read it. I don't recall Jef's name even being mentioned last night by the guys or in the above article so I'm not sure where this comes from. nb: I'm not trying to 'defend' Jef or Emily I'm just trying to find out where this came from.

One thing of note is that Emily said last night that (Paraphrasing) Sean was everything she was ever looking for in a guy and she was choosing to pass it by. That comment was put in elsewhere as a VO recently, but it was shown last night during Sean's journey! I believe Emily thought that Sean was everything she could ever want, perfect on paper, there just wasn't enough of a spark there for her. Or maybe, she took Jef and Arie to F1/F2 because she had no intention of settling down and thought they would be easier to dump. After all there are numerous rumors abounding that Emily wants a TV gig more than she want a husband.

I however, choose to bury my head in the sand and prefer to think that Emily chose with her heart and couldn't see taking Sean any further when it just wasn't there for her. Hugesmile

I read the article, and I think it's quite an exaggeration to say that the guys all changed their minds about Emily, and that they don't like her, as well as to extrapolate that they don't approve of her choice. Woah, that's a lot of presumptions. While it appears that Charlie has a problem with her, other guys saying she was disingenuous because she said the same thing to all of them, has been said by most contestants about their lead each season, because they all do it, to some degree.

And where is the evidence that Emily's guys don't think highly of Jef? scratch

Missed you these past few days, IC. Thanks for writing out what I was thinking as well. Lots of assuming going on around here imho... :sourgrapes: ?

That's because Arie, Jef, and to a lesser extent Chris are not alpha male types. A bunch of those guys like Ryan, Charlie, and even to a much lesser extent Sean have very defined ideas as to masculinity and Jef especially doesnt fit their myopic idea of a worthy mate for a hot chick like Emily. Frankly for me that kind of stuff is a huge turn off. (yeah, my user name is supposed to be ironic lol.) #TeamDainty

About the Finale:

Maynard and the lucky final bachelors close out the season on this island paradise, delving into the alluring history and culture, sinking their toes into the sandy beaches and reveling in the crystalline blue of Curacao's azure waters.

Maynard's search for love continues as the suitors settle in at one of Curacao's most unique boutique resorts, the Sandton Kura Hulanda Hotel & Spa. The historic hotel is a luxurious retreat boasting a unique location in the colorful Dutch Colonial historic district of downtown Willemstad, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Maynard and her suitors will stroll the cobblestone pathways of the hotel as they explore the famous anthropological Museum Kura Hulanda and the meticulously restored buildings, showcasing the Dutch architecture of the 17th and 18th century.

Curacao's Sirena Bay Estate will be home to Maynard and her daughter in this finale episode, with its breathtaking ocean views, world-class art collection and 18th century Dutch 'landhuis' style building in downtown Willemstad. Its secluded location and private pools serve as the idyllic setting for the Bachelorette.

Bachelorette Maynard will set off to the Santa Barbara Plantation, 1,500 acres of beautiful views and landscaping, offering up one of the most luxurious golf and marina resort communities in the Caribbean. At one of the historic mansions on this expansive plantation, the remaining men will have the opportunity to meet Maynard's parents and family members.

Maynard and the bachelors will delight in a romantic date at Dinah Veeris' Botanic & Herb Garden -- "Den Paradera" -- a lush herb and botanical garden.

As millions of viewers hold their breath, Maynard's decision will come during the Rose Ceremony in the Village Square of the beautiful Sandton Kura Hulanda Hotel & Spa.

So Ben Stiller, the guy behind Burning Love, the hilarious web series parody of the Bachelor is on Kimmel the same night as Emily and Jef? Jimmy is going to have a lot of fun that night.

I don't think Emily is letting anyone go during LCD. I went back to see what was in the Season Premier description for Emily's journey and found the link below. The bolded portion indicates that Emily may not have made a F1 decision at the FRC, but instead spent time with each of the F2 Bachelors in their hometown to determine who was most compatible. Very interesting.

Here's the link and the bolded portion.

http://www.abcmedianet.com/assets/pr/html/042612_02.html

"As in the past, men will continue to be eliminated each week, but if at any point along the way a bachelor should decide that he's no longer interested in the Bachelorette, he can reject her invitation to continue dating. Two lucky men will meet her family, and she will visit the final bachelors' hometowns for a slice of their lives in an effort to determine the man with whom she is most compatible -- but there are surprises in store for Emily that will shake her world. At the end of the journey, the Bachelorette may quite possibly have found true love. But the big question is: After all of this, will he pop the question, and will she say yes?"
