If Emily hasn't really had a career, how is she worth that much - anyone know? Inheritance? - I would assume since her fiance had a dangerous job, he probably had life insurance to protect her? Just can't imagine how she could be worth that much financially being so young and not really had a serious career.

I would take what is posted on that website with a HUGE grain of salt.

I totally agree.
This isn't going to be a pretty week for Arie or Jef, or Arie and Jef fans. This is when we should all ban together: #teamWish SundayWas Here!
This is most definitely true but I think they hang around the ABC board for headlines because that board has some aggressive discussions and then I see topics like that in the magazines. Then they bring it back to the board and it becomes a vicious cycle!

Re: Bachelorette 8 - Media - Discussion
I just read the actual InTouch article from last week. It says that even though the guy who has cold feet was told by Emily that he was her pick, she still chooses the other guy and they are happy. I just cannot imagine this ever happening! First of all, if Arie or Jef was told that they were her pick, I cannot see either one of them still walking away from her since they seem head over heels in love. Secondly, how will this be convincing for her to go ahead and choose the other guy who wasn't her first choice? That doesn't seem possible IMO. Who would buy that?

I think most people aren't. The story sounds illogical as worded but now it's out there in the universe so you know there's at least a few who do buy that. Oh tabloids. Never change.

Perhaps that's the benefit of saying that you're in love with two men - either works or are interchangable! (j/k)
It sounds looney but who knows with this show. It would be like watching DeAnna pick Jesse when everyone saw she loved Graham - but much more openly and possibly, pragmatically (?). Seeing as how she is so image conscious, I can't see her doing this though. Even if they positioned it - that it was for the best and somehow all worked out in the end - the blowback would be brutal.

What if Jef were the one to end it? They've built that possibility into his storyline.
I agree that, if any switcheroo were to occur this season, it would either be a mutual decision or by Jef's hand and with his blessing. Emily, IMO, could not endure the backlash that Molly and Jason experienced. In the most ideal situation, she'd be made into Melissa Rycroft 2.0.

I could almost buy into this except that it is obvious the Jef is crazy for her in his tweets on Monday. I mean, could he scream it any louder that they were together. JMO. It will definitely be crazy to see what happens. Is it Sunday yet?

US is rolling with the headline teaser:
Bachelorette Emily Maynard Was "Hell-Bent" On Not Accepting a Proposal
Bachelorette Emily Maynard Was "Hell-Bent" On Not Accepting a Proposal
Having already suffered through a painful breakup from former Bachelor Brad Womack -- whose proposal she accepted as the finalist during his season -- Maynard was terrified of putting herself, and her daughter, through that kind of heartbreak once more. "She didn't want that to happen again," an insider explains.

Am thinking that maybe ABC decided to change up it's soft release go to tabloid this time. Me thinks that US Weekly may be the tab of choice this season.
