Yes, it was very sad. They didn't show her saying that to the Dad, but you could see the relief wash over Chris' face as his Dad reported that Emily had said she was falling for him. She deserves to be chewed out if she lied to his Dad. To me, that is why he was so steamed up / incredulous in the Limo and on the Walk Out. He felt lied to and made a fool of for TV Effect.
