Well I think something had to have happened on Arie's LCD on the 8th in order for Love_Me to receive the spoiler so early in the morning of the 9th. I'm going to make some assumptions here because that's what speculating is all about so bear with me. This is all based on the fact that Emily may have truly fallen in love with Jef. I mentioned the second spoiler that was posted a few days ago about the F3/F2 switch and Emily's agreeing to keep Arie if she could let him go prior to the rose ceremony. Emily said about Brad's season that she wished he'd saved something special for her - maybe it wasn't the fantasy suites maybe it was the rose ceremony. The something special she wants for her F1 is that he's the only one there. So, she made the deal. Now, after the FD with Jef we have Emily's PI where she said "he turned me down before I could turn him down" maybe that was foreshadowing because Arie after meeting her father and receiving the so-so blessing realized he was not her F1 and took himself out "he asked to leave before she could ask him to leave". Then, the bombshell - Arie returns to his hotel room, he has tptb whispering in his ear, rethinks his decision and shows up at the FRC? Emily would be upset to say the least maybe so upset that the rose ceremony is cancelled and we wait for ATFR.

When J.P. first arrives to meet Ashley's family at the Vomo Island Resort and Spa, he appears to make a great first impression. However, Ashley's sister, Chrystie, whose opinion she has always valued, lets her know that she doesn't see this man as the one for her. The drama erupts as the two sisters confront one another in a sensational fight. Ashley is stunned by her sister's frank assessment and seeks solace from her brother. Meanwhile, Chrystie offers J.P. a litany of things that she finds troubling about any future relationship he might be planning with her sister. He is shocked by this quick appraisal. Will Ashley be forced to reassess her feelings for J.P. because of her sister's brutal opinion?

The following day, Ashley's attempts to clear the air with her sister fail and fireworks start again - especially when Chrystie drops the bomb that she saw more chemistry between her sister and Brad than Ashley and J.P. Another heated verbal sparring session ensues while Ashley worries how her family will receive Ben F. But when this amiable bachelor arrives, he immediately charms everyone with his carefree attitude and sense of humor. Even Chrystie is happy to see Ashley be herself around Ben F., which will only make her decision ever harder.

Ashley is now down to her "last chance" dates with the final two men to bring some clarity to the situation. She and Ben F. soar in a helicopter over the Fijian seascape, landing near some natural hot springs where the couple spend a steamy time together. Later, the date turns serious when the emotional Ben F. finally completely opens up to Ashley and admits that he loves her. This outpouring of emotion has a definite effect on Ashley.

The next day, Ashley and J.P. meet and the distressed bachelor is still reeling from Chrystie's harsh judgment of him. He begs Ashley not to let her sister's opinion influence her decision, but Ashley is determined to make sure that the man she picks is right both for her head and heart. Desperate to convince her that he is the one for her, J.P. admits he's falling madly in love with her. He even surprises her with a special gift that night as they snuggle.

Thanks! I kind of thought so at first, but then I remembered Jimmy Kimmel showing JP the clip of Ash and Ben making out on the bed and telling JP, "That was the night before you were engaged!" :cutesmile!:

Just logic's ideas are intriguing - we all keep trying to tie the pieces together. The term default Jef could come into play because Ari leaves early - but he's not truly default - he was F1 ever since Prague and HTDs for sure. I also wonder if Jef seriously asked Emily if it was a good idea to get engaged before getting to know Ricki better? Would explain 'the ending she didn't see coming", and "getting cold feet". And in the convo she lets him know he's her pick. They talk it out, maybe he meets Ricki. The ceremony is on one way or the other for her to give the final rose but Jef romantically does ask her to marry him due to their talk. Again, it's not truly cold feet it's just trying to put some real world in an unreal reality tv world. He seems to be thoughtful about what's best for all of them in the situation. No telling how much TPTB leave for AFTR and what they leave for the actual finale.

Saw Life & Style dated 5/23 last night article about the finale. It says Jef was seen at breakfast on May 10th looking relaxed and excited (quite the opposites here). No mention is made of Arie being seen.
They claim both guys get last chance dates and select rings then rehearse what they are going to say the day before the Final Rose. Emily made her decision and she was waiting after midnight on the 12th when the one she chose came and whispered will you marry me, she said Yes!. Don't know if this is fact or fiction. Seemingly since only 1 guy is mentioned at the end then probably only one goes to propose and no telling if she let F2 go or he bowed out.....
