The finale is being described as a large viewing party. Does anyone think they might be spliting time between the actual finale taped episode and the live studio, having CH and Emily giving feedback and commentary as the spisode is aired?

No the studio audience will be watching the show the same time we are and then they will tape the ATFR Live.

Where are they taping the live ATFR? LA like they usually do?

As much as one might want to believe that Emily's dad is giving clues, we do need to keep in mind that Jef's MTP wss first. At least I think it was!! Parents have said before how hard it is - you sincerely like the first person and then along comes another very good "candidate". However, I do think Jef has a truly big sincere smile when Dad says yes.

All I could keep thinking during M's dad and 1F talk was:
Has this kid had the "sex" talk yet?
Has this kid had the "sex" talk yet?
No good deed goes unpunished.
Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, bye Felicia!

I think if Daddy Maynard didn't really believe what he told Jef about his daughter's feelings for him, he shouldn't have "led him on" quite so much. It's certainly not as bad as Chris' dad misinforming him that Emily said she was in love with him, but that seemed like a pretty strong endorsement, even if he hadn't yet met Arie. His response to Arie is far more tepid, almost like he knows it's not him, so it's easy enough to give his blessing for something he's sure won't be happening anyway. At least that's what the editing is showing.
It's also interesting that Arie is shown to have absolutely no doubt that Emily will choose him and he'll have the opportunity to propose, whereas Jef still has some doubts that she'll pick him at the end (his comment about "if" it goes down that way indicated to me that he's not even sure he'll be given the opportunity to propose to her because she might send him home first; he obviously doesn't know how much the producers enjoy the "double proposal", even though it appears they didn't get it this season). It's just like last year when Ben was the confident one, while JP wasn't, and is the typical edit that they show, with the loser sure he won and vice versa.

Your comments about Arie being shown as having absolutely no doubt Emily will choose him fit into the speculation that Arie was blindsided, or that there was a blindside this season (insert Arie as my opinion). Interesting observation, thanks!

We already have had a few admitted blindsides this season.Minney wrote:ironcat wrote:I think if Daddy Maynard didn't really believe what he told Jef about his daughter's feelings for him, he shouldn't have "led him on" quite so much. Chris - "but I told you I loved you." Even the media has used that word for Chris' exit
Sean - thought she was going to be his wife and felt sorry for Arie after Jef got the rose
Ryan - thought he was getting a rose for sure
Doug - kissed her because he didn't see it coming in that chat

It's the season of the blindside. Is it because Emily is just soooo alluring that every guy has deluded himself into thinking he's "the one" or is she just too frigging polite to everybody, so that they can't read the writing on the wall? With Chris and Doug at least, I could read it clearly from my couch with one eye closed and without my glasses, don't know how they missed it.
