I doubt that, because she looked pretty darn happy during Premiere week, the week after the proposal. But who knows! Think Big!
How bout the very happy, hipster couple announcing their new reality show...'Emily and Jef's journey to the Alter'?
I would think this was it for sure if we weren't getting reports of post show contact and lingering feelings within the trio

They carded him at the door.
LOL, I know in the past, the F1 has to overcome obstacles and the write up said nothing about what Jef had to overcome. Also, the doubt from Emily's brother reminds me of the doubt from Ashley's sister.

No that's how I read it too! My interpretation was the lingering feelings were on both sides and they are regarding their relationship. It has to be something out of the norm because I'm sure every F2 has lingering feelings or needs closure but for RS and the tabs to both be suggesting Emily had lingering feelings or doubts at some point there has to be some truth to it. Doesn't mean she still has them but I believe she had them at so e point and maybe he still does.
This is the first season I can recall in a while where the lead really had two legitimate relationships/romances going with their F2, where either one could have been "the one" had the other one not been there. Although the editing tries to convince us it happens every season, it rarely does. So it's not surprising that the producers would want to try to promote this endgame storyline, especially if it fell into their laps, which I suspect it did.
The reason I think this is because Emily is such a bad breaker upper (she tries to be too nice and is unable to articulate a cogent reason why she is rejecting someone, as we have seen repeatedly with men she was far less interested in than her F2) that I would be shocked if she was able to provide adequate closure to either her F2 or herself when she let him go (just telling CH she doesn't know how to start that conversation doesn't bode well for it). So it's no surprise if a few weeks later, either she or he (or both) was feeling bad enough to want to revisit the situation, contacted producers, and thus the season's "twist" was born (since we all know there's no way the producers would pass on the opportunity to film this and put in in the show). On Emily's part, I strongly suspect the "lingering feelings" she had were more due to guilt at not offering a better explanation to him about what happened and why she didn't pick him, than due to regreting her decision. And as far as the rejected guy goes, I expect they were more due to not receiving that understandable explanation than they were due to him hoping she changed her mind. But the producers are certainly going to play this up for all it's worth, regardless of how misleading their "spin" is.

My guess is that Arie does still have lingering feelings toward her; he fell in love. Emily's lingering feelings are wanting to tell him, as she did Sean, that she was genuine in everything she said to him.

Very logical and I agree Emily is a bad breaker upper! I also just keep coming back to how she handled Brad post show and can't see her reaching out to Arie and risk upsetting Jef unless it was important. I also can't see production getting involved unless it was worth it to them.

Jef's tweet about him having one regret and that we'll see what it is next week has me wondering if all this ties into a regret over the bromance not being strong anymore due to this post show contact business. I'm sure they wanted closure but I do not know if that's ever been done before? Anyone know? They've both say how close they were in the house but in more recent interviews it seems like they don't talk much anymore. No hard feelings between them, just not close. Which to me makes sense!! Can you imagine that trio at a get together!!! Akward much! Jef- "He dude you remember my fiance right.... oh thats right you made out with her for 10 weeks and it was " just that good " she had to "resolve" the feeling to kiss you one more time after I hit a knee. Weird, maybe that's why she akways asks me to grab her hair" Arie- ( licks lips) " yeah man, it was like no one else was I around, I still feel exactly how I felt on the show"( leans in for hello hug & cheek kiss). Jef" don't bro dont.... No hugs.... Just a hand shake man. Emily ( giggles and covers her face) " Back off, Back off"". Sorry .... I'm having too much fun. I'm 5 minutes away from busting out the old barbies!
Back to business:
Jef couldn't have been psyched to hear about " lingering" feelings between Arie and M! Not a confidence booster imo especially while having to watch her sexy smooches with him in which he also responded to a fan that he was " surprised to say the least" when asked if he was surprised to see Arie's kissing skills etc.
I had a totally different interpretation of the bolded.
When 1F said: "surprised to say the least", I felt he said that because RE never kissed him that way. So I guess there was more chemistry with RE and M than RE and 1F despite their bromance.
Ya think 1F's been doing some hair-grabbing smooches post show?
I don't think he has to because Emily isn't going anywhere. He can take his time.
He won't be taking his time with Emily because she's with Arie.
Going down with the ship?
We shall see

If lingering feelings exist that they can milk dry from the cash cow - they're going to be all over that. It would be so worth it to production even if it turns out to be much ado about nothing. They can spin it, edit it, etc to create a suspenseful ending, build buy in/love for the final couple, promotion for the next Bachelor, etc.
My only question is why haven't they heavily promoted it yet? Since they haven't really teased much or very well about the ending, I suspect it's a tying up loose ends kind of thing - not a scandal.

But your scenario implies its just a standard AFTR where the F2 wants closure to move on etc. plus Why wouldn't she have already told him this since it's rumored that they connected somehow already post show.
If Arie is the only one with lingering feelings and it is discussed I think it's more proof that he isn't the new Bach. Normally they sell the next lesd as they eere hurt, want closure at AFTR but are ready to move on and open thier heart up and know this Bach process works b/c they fell in love once on the show yada yada. I hate that they all say that lol. If he is still in love with her no way is he ready to be the next lead which I pray is true. Not that he still loves her if she is with Jef but I not want him as the Bach,.

I think they have promoted it via leaks to tabs and having the guys do interviews while their shows are still airing.

I do think it is going to be a standard AFTER and different only that it is live. It is only rumor that she and Arie have had contact and even if they have I think she will want to say this publicly. I am not expecting anything shocking or even much different. The lingering feeling comment may or may not have legs. It seems like a weak attempt at hype if it came from Fleiss.

I think back to Jason's season and the big switch. They made a point of spoiling the ending very early on and definitively with that screencap of the ring going on Melissa's finger. Jason's pre and early season media tour started out high but then he became less enthused and pretty much disappeared, which aligned with the timing of things falling apart with Melissa. In contrast, Emily has been Ms. Happy from start to present and there hasn't been anything absolutely definitive as to who the F1 is. Add to that the fact that we have been promised high drama every week, but it never pans out. I tend to agree with your last sentence, no matter who the F1 is.

Lingering feelings ALWAYS applies to the F2 and the needed closure .. Every single season at the ATFR the lead and F2 have their chat .. CH always asks how they are feeling blah blah blah .. No different than any other season .. Including how the write up describes the ATFR as well
A bit of grace and a bit of badass
