Back to business:
Jef couldn't have been psyched to hear about " lingering" feelings between Arie and M! Not a confidence booster imo especially while having to watch her sexy smooches with him in which he also responded to a fan that he was " surprised to say the least" when asked if he was surprised to see Arie's kissing skills etc.

I had a totally different interpretation of the bolded.
When 1F said: "surprised to say the least", I felt he said that because RE never kissed him that way. So I guess there was more chemistry with RE and M than RE and 1F despite their bromance.

Ya think 1F's been doing some hair-grabbing smooches post show?

I don't think he has to because Emily isn't going anywhere. He can take his time.

He won't be taking his time with Emily because she's with Arie.

I think that it's exactly what they wanted. They gave it to us and we doubted it. That's perfect for tptb. But, it makes sense as to why we're not seeing any FRC pics. What if..... And this is a BIG if so hear me out.... Arie leaves, Emily freaks, cries yada yada then ultimately convinces ( or tells herself if some like that term better), convinces herself that Arie must not have been the one because he got cold feet and left her hanging inturn making her think ( or realize if this word makes some happier), think, that Jef is the clear winner since Arie has shown now shown his hand. Jef proposes, Emily is happy and all is well. Post show they start filling each other in on what went down during filming now that they are allowed to talk openly and Emily starts throwing down some FYIs like" um just so you know Jef, Arie and I, um kissed.... a lot, like, that's mostly what we did, a lot. We talked too but then we kissed a lot... Um i might have moaned at one point... Ok ok maybe more.. you know what.. might not want to watch the show now that I think about it. Who knew! " This honesty mixed with the knowledge that Arie left early on his own made Jef say to M that maybe she needs to take some time and make sure there is no unfinished business with Arie and that he feels that for the future of the relationship and his comfort that at the end of the day she would still choose him but they both need to know for sure. ..... And this is what we learn at the AFTR along with her final answer!

BAM!!!!!!!! I should post my phone number on these!!! I bet MF would be call me off the hook for ideas! K- now I'm channeling Ryan so I'll stop now.

My money is on this scenario, whether they show it all or not!

I'm sure that regardless of what they show us, and what Emily, Jef or Arie says, some will continue to believe whatever they want to believe happened, all the way to either a wedding or a breakup, and possibly beyond. Human nature. :yes:

After being so forthright with Brad I seriously doubt Emily would pick a default. She had enough control on that show that she would have had no problem calling it a day and not picking anyone (IF the Arie scenario rumor was valid) She would not have picked Jef if Arie was her #1. She would have walked away.....

This is what I believe also - she has the perfect reason to walk away with no man at the end because she wouldn't be walking away alone - she'd be walking away with Ricki. I have no doubt tptb wouldn't hesitate to show that either (Emily and Ricki cuddled up in bed together at the end of the show reading a fairy tale). I don't think she's perfect by any means but I do think she is a very good mother and only wants the best for Ricki so, in no way, would she subject Ricki to being part of a hoax.

The truth is Arie has been ready to propose since Croatia. He has been talking about marrying Em, she is the love of his life etc. So, its BS to think that he leaves on his own.
He gets Dumped. And he was hurting obviously. Post filming, there is a huge difference between Jef\Em, who seem to be happy as a clam. And Arie, who looks little sad but he is trying to move on.

I think Emily will clear up any rumors by all of us watching the finale. I have a feeling she tells Aries she knows he travels alot with racing and she needs someone beside her raising that van full of kids and she dumps him.

She will tell Arie, at the AFTER, the same thing she told Sean at the MTA. That being, she was sincere in everything she said. That is the "issue" between 2 people that is being discussed in several threads. Not sure the source on that but if true, that is all it is.

I hope she says she fell in love with Jef because that is the only reason that would ring true with Arie or viewers.

I think she was very determined to have someone at the end. I'm not sure if that meant engagement or dating by the time the FRC rolled around. She said this in People when she was voicing her doubts about Sean but I can imagine that it applies to Jef and Arie as well:

"Sean does a million things a day to tell me that he's the one for me," Emily says in an exclusive preview of the episode, which airs Monday (8 p.m. ET) on ABC. "But I need to know more. I can't go through this and fall in love and have it not work again."

It will be interesting to see if you reveals what her final criteria in her decision making was - the differentiators or pros/cons.

No that's how I read it too! My interpretation was the lingering feelings were on both sides and they are regarding their relationship. It has to be something out of the norm because I'm sure every F2 has lingering feelings or needs closure but for RS and the tabs to both be suggesting Emily had lingering feelings or doubts at some point there has to be some truth to it. Doesn't mean she still has them but I believe she had them at so e point and maybe he still does.
