Re: Episode 11 - 7/22 - Bachelorette 8 - FINALE - Thread #1
I think it might be possible that Emily let Arie go after both LCD, but before he showed up to the FRC. Maybe she let him go on the day he is suppose to pick out a ring or she let him go early on FRC day (before he showed up to the FRC site) so she was able to recompose herself by the time Jef arrived at midnight.

Something about the setting and it being in the middle of the night made me think they wouldn't do that to the F2. Seems more cruel than normal, if so. From the article:The proposal, filmed for the final episode, which airs on July 16, took place in the cobblestone courtyard of the Kura Hulanda resort on the Caribbean island of Curaçao.
"The final bachelor was led through a grand sky-blue gate to where Emily stood," reveals the insider. "The proposal took place in the middle of the night, which gave it a more intimate feel."
I don't get that logic - how does location/time of day make it more cruel for a F2?

If he also proposes, seems like they had him sitting around waiting all day and night for the big (non) event..even longer than usual if they're keeping guys on ice until the middle of the night to propose. The setting seems more intimate and romantic to me with that timing, too, only to get turned down. Just feels like a little extra piling on to me if that's how it happened.

Another thought was to keep the paps away. Last year the paps had pictures of the FRC and both ladies; by filming it at night in an enclosed courtyard, it limits the exposure to the paparazzi.

Well at least by the description we know it was not a FRC wedding lol because if it was then Emily would have been the one being lead through the grand blue arch.

So Ari was the F2 default instead of F3 and that's why the confusion between the F2 and F3? Maybe that's why Sean made sure people knew the F2 spoiler wasn't right. I know, I know - he looked so heartbroken, etc. Yup - could still be that but at the same time know he wasn't ready to be a dad and take on someone that wanted to have more of a family right away. He had a vision for a bit but maybe reality set in and didn't want to get in deeper. He talked to producers who knew Emily might have kept him for F2. Might explain Love's original F2 spoiler; why Emily didn't have words for Sean when he left, why so classy in the limo, etc; . This would put some of the strange pieces together that don't seem to fit. Just speculating but seems a bit possible.Tiggerlgh wrote:lia118 wrote:Did you guys hear what E News reported today? They said that one of the guys quit the show Because they was not ready. And she picked the other guy by default. I don't really believe it... The previews don't look like that happened. Idk. Maybe that's why he was saying you think you know but you don't. And the reason why he is doing a live ATFR. What do you guys think?
That was from some rag that came out today. I believe it also says she is now living with her "default" guy and they are getting married. It makes no sense.
Sorry, I can't see this at all regarding Sean. I believe he's most ready to be a father out of the three. Have you seen the many photos of him with his niece and nephew? I don't think he's scared of fatherhood and what it entails at all. A resounding theme in his interviews is that he was totally ready to propose and that it was Emily who had the doubts.
I don't know Sean as well as the others so appreciate your enlightening. And if we want another goofy theory - possibly Ari DID step out - he may have sensed that Emily was pulling back, especially if the whole "no Ari date card" was as portrayed. The reasons given in the article could actually suit him too - just saying out loud at dinner about what time he gets up and Emily's responses may have triggered something. Overall I don't think we should totally, totally throw out the article thoughts - E News is a bit better than some of the rags. Just a theory - that it's worth a teeny bit of considering.
E! news only quoted the article in In Touch mag. I was disappointed because I did think E! was better than that. Apparently not. It seemed to me that Sean knew he was going so was able to pull off a calm exit. Not that he wouldn't have anyway. I just think because of the switch that both he and Arie knew they were going. How could they not?

My guess is that earlier that day she let Arie go before, after or during their LCD. She came back, rested, gathered her wits, took a bath and got ready for the FRC which was originally scheduled for the next day but they pushed it up.

RealityEscape - I am totally with you on your theory, mainly because it makes total sense in terms of Loves initial spoiler.
So do we assume they filmed Arie getting the boot, but they then had to come back and re-shoot that whole sequence again with Sean going? - I can see that happening on this show. Ofcourse there would have been a whole lot of chat and negotiation, the viewer would be oblivious, but one thing is for sure, Jef would be understood by ALL to be the F1.
The remaining days would be going through the motions and TPTB working out with Em how to spin things out and make some tv drama. Arie would have to be complicit, cos he knows he aint F1 and in fact was on his way home but for the chnage in plan.
His reward - the next Bachelor.

so you're assuming they knew Em was supposed to send Arie home but instead sent Sean home? How would they know that....???
