Actually we never saw Jason propose - we saw him get down on one knee and then her stopping him. It wasn't til the AFRC that we heard him say "why did you let me get down there...and propose".

Not sure if it was because I am in the south, but I did see Jason propose. I know because Deanna looked so darn happy and excited that he was proposing and watching it was so uncomfortable. And Jason is one of the few seasons I didn't watch. I caught the finale and the ATFRs because of RS and his spoilers, but I never liked Jason. I actually thought he made it seem like the mother of his son was never around and that was not what I read was real in their lives during Deanna's season and it bugged me. I respect single parents so much and since one of my brothers is a complete dead beat dad I am sensitive to single parents having to raise their child without any help which is what Jason seemed to imply, but was not true.

:shocked!: Well I'll be damned they are different! I never knew that. I always thought he got down to propose and then she stopped him. Pfft and she thinks she handled herself with class. I hate when they let the other guy propose. She may like to toot her own horn about kissing less guys than Emily but at least Emily is going to have enough class not to let both men propose.

I don't fault any of the female leads allowing their F2s to propose - they most likely are told to allow them to. Ash let Ben propose, Jen let JP propose, Deanna let Jason propose, Jill nearly let Reid propose.

If Arie is at the FRC and he proposes, it's producer driven and Em really has no control over it, but they have the power to edit it as they did in Deanna's season.

Yeah I just dont see CH saying "youre done" in the finale...

I definitely see scenarios of that happening but I think it was cut short so you can't hear what else he said after that. "You're done with this whole process and are ready to let Arie go" is the one I think it will be. As far as the VO stuff, I believe the part where she says "I don't know what to say, things are different now" is actually something she may be saying to Arie.

Ironcat, I like your theory of possibly going with Arie on the first portion of the LCD and then sending him home after that. That also makes sense to me. Either way, there will only be one man showing up that evening to put a ring on it!

I agree. Especially since we know that they push the F2 to propose by lying to him, and Jason has implied (and I suspect he knew this from Deanna) that they tell the lead that she needs to let the guy propose in order to help his candidacy to become the next Bachelor. Since both Jason and Ben were "rewarded" with exactly that, I tend to believe this is what happens.

They are trying to save Aries image as he will be a future Bachelor or maybe even Bachelor Pad He does not want to be humiliated and I don't think they will since they want him to be a part of the franchise in the future. He will go home early IMO

Finale

In Curacao, Emily must choose between her final two suitors in the season 8 conclusion. Both men meet Emily’s family and win their approval, making Emily’s decision much more difficult as she struggles to decide if she should introduce them both to her daughter, Ricki.

AFRC

Emily recaps the season in a live interview with host Chris Harrison. She then reunites with her two finalists, who give her their take on the outcome of the show.

No mention of LCDs because there was only one. Only one will meet Ricki. She will let Arie go early which is good!
