I'm really starting to think that almost none of the voice over was actually during the finale. Unless I see Emily or CH say it while they are sitting there I think it was taken from somewhere else and used to make things look the way the do in the preview.

VOs can be taken from anywhere and placed where they need the proper soundbite - I remember Kirk in Ali's season had a VO about 'getting this time with her" (or something like that). It sounded like a FD type of VO but it was said/used on the film shoot date, early in the season.

Initially, I too felt the previews leant to her walking away with no one. But I can certainly see where the interpretation is left to the viewer.

Just posting because I have longish hair too and I constantly have a hair band around my wrist in case I need to pull it back and get it out of the way, but I don't tend to wear ponytails all day because they give me headaches. I noticed Emily does it too, first the black one on Jef's HTD (which she used in the dune buggy) and now this brown one. I tried to look at the FDs, but the truth is I am too lazy to look that hard.

And I do hope she lets F2 (whether it be Arie or Jef) go early, because I hate having to watch F2 propose. I wanted to jump through my screen and smack Deanna for letting Jason propose, and I didn't even like him (now I realize TPTB probably made her do it to make him a more sympathetic bachelor). I felt bad for Jilly when she got blindsided by Reid and his proposal, you could see her kind of go, I chose to let this guy go, but is this fate telling me that I might be making a mistake, it was kind of sad for me to watch. And I felt especially bad for Ashley, she tried to stop Ben, but he just rushed right through and wouldn't listen. It was really uncomfortable for me as an Ashley and a Jash fan to watch.

Finale

In Curacao, Emily must choose between her final two suitors in the season 8 conclusion. Both men meet Emily’s family and win their approval, making Emily’s decision much more difficult as she struggles to decide if she should introduce them both to her daughter, Ricki.

AFRC

Emily recaps the season in a live interview with host Chris Harrison. She then reunites with her two finalists, who give her their take on the outcome of the show.

She has one on her wrist with Arie when they are laying kissing on the boat.

Very well could be. I think by Chris saying that he means, "if you don't let this guy (Arie) go now, you will be betraying him by leading him on AND you'll be betraying Jef, because you know you are in love with Jef and you shouldn't be dating and kissing Arie anymore." Thus, betraying both of them, but leaving viewers with the idea that she picks no one. ITA with the bolded.

Actually we never saw Jason propose - we saw him get down on one knee and then her stopping him. It wasn't til the AFRC that we heard him say "why did you let me get down there...and propose".

Isn't the LCD kind of in two parts? They have some activity in the daytime, and then meet up in the guy's room that night. So maybe she had the day portion with Arie, and then realized she couldn't let him propose (or more likely, realized she'd have a nervous breakdown and threatened to cry for 3 hours straight if they made her go through with it), had her tete a tete with CH in the late afternoon, and then told Arie goodbye at the start of their evening portion?

I was thinking about that earlier - she is dressed very casually, as if she got ready for the evening portion of the date.

Sorry if this has been addressed already....do you think Emily lets Arie go early so she can introduce Ricki to just Jef?
