LM & San you have my permission to reach over and slap me if I ever send you a PM complaining about another member. That's what the Foe button is for and I have used it once and has been very freeing. No it wasn't you, veg_out.

I'm just sorry it's come to this. I love this board and hate to think what LoveMe & San have to deal with. Love you guys.

What is so hard for me to believe is that poster would PM Love_me and San, just unbelievable! That's all!

I would think there would be more important things to attend to in life, like enjoying the weekend or just enjoying life?

-giving your kids a hug
-working
-walking the dog
-calling your mother
-meditating
-working out
-reading David Good's Man Code book
-teaching your baby how to say the F-word
-plucking your chin hair
-alphabetizing your cookbooks, then deciding they'd be better organized according to types of cuisine and re-doing the whole thing
-searching the white pages to see how many people in America have the last name "Poop"
-seeing Book of Mormon :Smiley:
-reading Chicka Chicka Boom Boom to your toddler 1,049 times in a row
-spending too much money on lingerie online

I've done all but three of these. Care to guess?

You are so funny! I'm new here, so I just heard about this Foe thing yesterday. What a strange concept.

Since this is the vent page, just the observation of a newbie here... I used to peek in on FORT now and again to follow the sleuthing & speculation to derive the F1. I thought it was pretty cool, interesting, and informative how people understood the edit patterns, photo placements, as well as included analysis of tweets, posts, body language, and all the rest of it. Perfect for the Sherlock Holmes in me :).

I don't know if this is new in Emily's season, or if this has been the habit all along here on this new forum. But it seems that nowadays detective-work has been abandoned in favor of idol worship, fan warring, and outright mocking (for pages and pages) of those that might post evidence that might tarnish another's special snowflake. This forum feels like a very hostile place where it's best to just lurk and not dare share one's opinions or evidence, for fear of being tarred and feathered.

As for PM'ing the mods, I don't get that at all. If someone were to PM me with sexual harassment, hate speech, or threats of violence, I'd PM the mods and let them know, just in the interest of protecting other forum users. Short of that, I'd block the user and move on. No point in making extra work for the mods IMO.

I don't think it's fair to Love or San to ask that they implement rules. First of all, it's not in their character to be "Judge Judy." They have more patience than most saints but don't take advantage of it! For some reason, it has yet to sink in... It's not a FAN BOARD so anything outside of "hoping harm" comes to someone is acceptable and of course bashing someone or their opinion. If they make requests, follow those requests. I have no idea why that is so hard to get or understand!!!

I had to choose the FOE button as my friend. It's working quite well. No rise out of me equals ...you been FOED. It really works after all.

The FOE button sends someone out to that poster's house to confiscate their computer and disable their wireless connection. Oh wait, I just woke up.

From my understanding, you wont see their direct post anymore. However, if someone that you have not foe'd quotes them, you will see their post in the quote. The people you add to the foe list wont know you have... And yes, they can still see yours, unless they've foe'd you. I think that's how it works...someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. I haven't used it, yet. But, I have been tempted to a few times!

I'm so sorry there's even a need for this thread and that y'all have to deal with all this San and Love! Thank you for all that you do and this wonderful forum!
