Taking jabs at other members on the forum under the guise of snarking is not okay. Making fun of other members' maturity levels (e.g. in regards to chronological age and what age one thinks s/he is) and then following it up with a trite "Just kidding, of course" is not okay.

It is hypocritical to then turn around and accuse others of not embracing other members/viewpoints.

Excuse me? You know I was quoting one of Jef's best friends, Weslie Christensen, when making that tongue and cheek remark. She must have thought it was funny when she made it and I did, too, when I joked about it. It you don't like that she said it or that she feels that way, take it up with her!

However, instead, you responded by telling others not to engage me, slung some pretty rude remarks directly at me, suggesting I was engaging in negativity, bullying, hypocrisy, and attempted to justify your err by implying that it was me baiting you?

And now this post? A little over the top, don't you think?

Look, I've been a member of these forums for quite a few years ... no johnny come lately, here. I treat people respectfully. I don't target and don't tell others to pile on another member. I don't take anything here personally enough that it causes me to fester and spew ridiculousness again, again and again right here, instead of letting it go.

I don't know who you are, yumyum, but I am not your enemy. Gina is someone I know and consider decent, despite a disagreement over what she should or shouldn't have said to Jef's supposed friend that joined. Thing is, I think I know Gina well enough to think she gets where I am coming from, and if she doesn't yet, she will.

It was from the heart when I noted that some over at the Jef contestant thread appear to be going out of their way to ridicule or malign, instead of treating other members equally and with respect. Why? My guess is because the other members favor another contestant, because they choose to snark or because they point out inconsistencies of the reality TV participants we talk about, which is all not only permissible, but part of the board experience. Acting up, or responding as if it has been decided that it shouldn't be is not permitted --- read the rules.

I am very sincere in my hopes that everyone is able to treat each other as if a part of a great forum with wonderful admins, instead of being segregated into two groups: a single topic thread and everyone else.

Right now it feels as though there is a "single topic thread and everyone else" on this forum. Some choose to stay in the Jef thread because they are made to feel that they are foolish when they venture into other threads mainly because they believe in what Jef and Emily have. Whether Jef and Emily are a couple or not we will see on Sunday.

I actually agree with Gina that Weslie should have been warned about the nastiness in some of the other threads about Jef's friends. We seem to forget that even though these people open themselves up to critique and criticism because they appear on a Reality TV show, their friends and relatives that don't appear on the show, DON'T!

First, I think that Weslie is probably a big girl who can wade through threads on her own (if she wants to) and come up with whatever opinions she wants about various posters in various threads. I too, thought the "warnings" were inappropriate and, at least to me, came off as "we're the only thread that you will probably want to visit here." Whatever. I really don't care about that.

One other thing I really wanted to respond to is what I have bolded above. I think this statement should apply to not only "negative" comments about them, but how about posting all their personal pictures on this message board? I cringe every time I see that happen. I think people in the Sean thread got approval from his sister before posting stuff from her blog, but I got the impression that did not happen with Weslie since she came in wanting to know where all the hits to her blog came from. Posting a link to the blog is one thing, posting personal pictures from the blog is another. So, I think we should take your statement that I bolded above and apply it to posting their personal pictures here.

Maybe that is why certain people segregated, I don't know, but what has happened since is those segregated denigrate others. Is it that you are happy about that? I'm not and why I spoke out. It really hurts.

If Gina wanted to relay that message, she is entitled, but it would have been more appropropriate for private message than insulting long term, peaceful forum members on their own board, for that is what she did.

Thing is, outside of sleauth purposes, I don't remember reading much, if any, discussion of Jef's friends except at the Jef thread. Has there been? Chachro is probably right that friends and family may become creeped out, for effectively they are being staulked.

Also, if you think the Jef contestant thread is only posting area for those that think Jef is F1, you got it wrong for nearly everyone that is posting elsewhere agrees that he is. Although there are legitimate arguments as to why Arie could be, there are so many more that Jef has to be.

First time posting an actual complaint, so this is going to be a "drive by" posting and then I'm going to go run and :hidingchair

I just have to say -- I don't care about "scripted lines" during VO/PI/videos/this show. If you watch when Arie says, "This could be my checkered flag. This could be my victory" he was reading lines off to the side of the camera. And during his video, he talked about a "wild ride" and "racing to her" in Croatia. Do I believe he actually talks like that (racing metaphors) in real life? No. Does Jef use lines from e-cards/wedding videos in real life? No.

So can we please just give everyone the benefit of the doubt and realize that we're going to hear a lot of them saying things that were scripted/not original, and it doesn't mean the feelings behind the words are any less genuine?

Also, the Jef thread should be used for talking about Jef, and not for bashing Arie. Conversely, the Arie thread should be used for talking about Arie, and not for bashing Jef.

If there's a problem, use the PM system or the FOE button. And thus concludes my rant.

Mostly, I love how when a cousin/brother/aunt/uncle/next door neighbor's dog walker's 3rd cousin signs up on these boards, all hell breaks loose and that person because a celebrity for reasons unknown.

Next season I'm signing up as Arie or Roberto's ex-girlfriend and then we're really going to have some fun, peeps! I really need the attention and validation.
