i've just gone to my profile preferences and marked anything regarding email as a no. i'm guessing that will do it but i'll check that watched threads thing again. i didn't have any checked before and kept unchecking them when i got the emails. thanks everyone!

eta: yup, this thread and another were marked watched but the other day i had none when i checked it. i've never even set it to watch a topic. coo koo.

I was having this problem and I found the easiest solution for me is as soon as you post to a thread, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click "stop watching this topic" It takes a extra second or two but at least you don't get the emails. .

After I changed it to No and went into preferences and unmarked all topics that I did not want to watch, it's stopped sending e-mails to me. Site seems to be loading a bit faster right now as well..

I tried that too. Didn't work for me. I'm still getting emails.

These are the two that if checked "NO" should stop e-mails of any kind from this site being sent to you.

The one underlined is the main one that should fix this according to tech support.

Please, let me know if this does not solve the problem either.

Thanks for the tips, LM. I've now changed my email preferences and hope that does the trick. I have an email address I don't use and cleaned out hundreds of emails yesterday and stopped watching all topics. This morning I checked and there were 50 more and a bunch more topics watched again. There seems to have a glitch in the system somewhere.

So setting it to No emails at all did not stop e-mails from being sent to you? We have a red alert then if you are not watching these topics and did not select them as favorites.

The search still doesn't work and the lists of issues has gotten longer.

Thanks Peppermom! I appreciate the support. I have contacted tech support everyday for the past two weeks about various issues and the fact that some are still not resolved makes me upset.
