Really, if F1 is not Sean, why did she say all the "stay strong" and "I want to be with you" stuff. If it was 1F all the time, she didn't need to say those types of things to Sean.
TV Sean exudes character and maturity ... apart from the fitness model thing. You can see him over the grill, coaching the team, up late with the baby, and on Date Nights. But they haven't shown me anything of Real Sean for me to gauge what they would be talking about as a couple. What's the glue that makes it work? It can't just be Husband/Father of the Year stuff. NCGal, I also noted the accent popping out, which one has to hope reflects a sincere comfort level, she can relax with him, be herself not her Tv Self. And the guy/gal trending to F1 doesn't get a prank HTD usually. The Failure to Launch gag (which I believe it will prove to me) is a risk factor -- it wastes so much airtime being set up and resolved, that you don't get the F1 type footage.

No one on this thread says that .
We have all been :shocked!: from the time the Season preview came out.
I would say that Emily and Seans is super-hot merely because she is an equal participant and is giving as good as she is getting. JMO.
And fully agree about the perspective bit.

lets see what they actually show us on the HTD. IMO, Sean (and his family) were comfortable enough to even play a joke on Emily says a lot IMO. Also, we are busy cribbing that we don't see his personality and then when they actually do show his personality (in terms of a joke) we say he cannot be F1 because he has a sense of humor ?
Again I'm not saying he is F1 but this doesn't automatically disaqualify him. Unless Emily stormed out of the HTD before they would say "Surprise" !!!!

The promo is also planting negative seeds about Sean with the insinuation even if it turns out that it was a joke that goes over well. Whereas they're hyping Jef's date as the most romantic thing ever. Given how the audience is split between the guys, it looks like they're finding subtle ways to separate Jef from the pack.
Re: Sean. from Twitter and the show, I agree with what you say about character and maturity - he comes across as a very centered person. He has stated that he's looking for a simple life. Probably a bit more simple than Emily wants to live which could be their roadblock. I can see where her decision was probably difficult given that a big part of her was probably drawn to what he had to offer on multiple fronts - especially family and faith as well as his fine self.

clueless wrote:I have read posts that suggest that Sean and Emily's kisses lack passion....so what does everyone think about Chris Harrison's statement that one of the producers made a comment about the Sean/Emily kiss against the wall as "one of the hottest kisses I think I've ever seen"? From that statement it would seem that Arie is not the only one getting the hot kisses (I do understand it's all about perspective however).
I think Sean's and Emily's kisses have been very passionate. Maybe it's because they totally look like husband and wife and always have. They look perfect together. That's what kind of bored me at first about him, and I've heard she doesn't like the Ken to her Barbie, but they do look like perfectly matched married couple kissing.
I don't like to use the word 'hot' to describe things, but I do think it's very hot.

Here is The RS portion!
And finally, I wanted to make mention of this because it probably wasn’t going to get out there unless someone brought it up, and since it involves one of this season’s contestants, I figured I’d share. Hate to out Sean Lowe for this since I’m guessing he didn’t do this looking for publicity, but it’s too good of a story not to mention.
Last year two high school friends in Dallas, Anna Basso and Micaela White, were both patients at Dallas Childrens Hospital. Anna was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma, and Micaela with Leukemia. After long battles, each passed away last year. Anna died on June 8th, 2011, while Micaela died August 17th. Both sets of parents had said that their daughters favorite show was the “Bachelor.” So all of their friends, now freshmen in college, get together from time to time to talk about the charity, and have pot luck dinners and watch the show and so forth. I was informed that Sean was told of this story and made a surprise appearance last night to one of the parties. You can actually see on his Twitter page (@SeanLowe09), him wearing the wrist bands in support of both girls. This is a video done last year that I found talking about their story. It was made after Anna had died, but before Micaela had passed:
Very cool story and I applaud Sean for doing something like that. I’m sure if he wanted publicity out of this, cameras crews would’ve been tipped off and been there during his arrival. I was told this was completely spontaneous and none of the friends knew he was showing up. Also, if you look back on Sean’s Twitter feed, you’ll find that on June 13th he corresponded with Lauren Scruggs. This was the Dallas model that lost her left hand and one of her eyes in a helicopter accident last December. I was told Sean joined Lauren at her rehab appointment that day, and that’s how they met. So lets see, Ryan uses his notoriety from the show to judge chicks in bikinis and get bottle service at poolside cabanas in Vegas, and Sean is doing this? Why don’t we just give him the Humanitarian of the Year Award now and call it a day. Props to Sean for doing this.

Regarding the prank on the HTD, Amanda "Meeps" in the Brit with the bad teeth (who ended up with Monkey) season had fake parents. The mom pinched his ass (what was his name??) and the whole family was OTT. As much as he said he loved jokes, I think it backfired on her and she was eliminated at the next Rose Ceremony. Of course, that season was a set up for Shayne anyway so it was probably easy to throw the hiccup girl under the bus.

And yes, Lori is a family friend (and we love it that she's here!) She posted a picture of her, Sean, and Shay at a watch party at Shay's house a couple of weeks ago.LibbyBell wrote:Sorry to quote myself but no one has responded yet and I've been all through this thread and haven't been able to find the answer myself-- can anyone let me know what the speculation of the secret is? Also, is Lori a family friend? TIA, again!
Archer, thank you so much for answering me! (I thought I might be invisible!)
Good honk! (as my MIL would say!) Really, that's the secret?!? Who in their right mind would believe that? Sean presents himself to be too mature to either live at home or not care for his belongings. (Not that it would be horrible if he lived at home) I did see the picture of Lori with Sean and Shay  -- so neat that she was at the watching party with them and that she's here with us! ( Lori!)
Thanks for the kind words, Archer and Libby. I'm glad to be here!
