I think that after we as viewers are "let in on" the reason (fact or fiction) of why Arie is not the winner, we will see in hindsight that Jef's story arc when viewed away from the powerful, competing, but Peak Too Soon edit given to Arie, was a very typical rising action, conflict (family acceptance?), resolution story arc. Arie has one too, but it's peaked before HTD, which is kiss of death. They will show us dialogue or scenes that "explain" why someone who had Arie's edit does not make it to the end. That's different from saying that this storyline is accurate or nice or fair. But if we are just being analytical, Jef's edit feels about "right" to me in terms of pacing to "POP" at peak emotional intensity during week 10 of a 10 week show.

Clearly, Emily is very broken up, a la Jillian, at F3 stage. Don't Get It. I can only think they will trot out some ready to be a father, or racer family, or geography or some other faux conflict.

Re: the HTD SC. You could be on to something. Hope there is no Sean is always chasing or searching symbolism at play.

The photos look so silly and make the show look even more cheesy than usual.

The edit is what makes me pretty certain he's not F1. But since I've never wanted that for him, I'm fine with it. Thankfully, I get the impression that he's fine with it too, which makes me happy, since I hate the thought of him being unhappy.

Don't ya'll think it's similar to Roberto's edit. During Ali's season they cut out a lot and didn't really show a cohesive plot line w/ Roberto... just a lot of attraction and physicality.
