ETA: okay just re-watched, it's the dress she wears with Jef at dinner. So they are either tricking us (no, never, not TPTB) or she really does not invite Jef to FS.

If you check out the TV grapevine preview, they actually show her giving the FS invite to Jef. It seems like he might be turning it down for the sake of both of their families. I am sure it is just editing and they at least go for a little while. But we do have video evidence of her inviting Jef to the FS.

Here's what I think (someone can correct me lol)

I think Jef and Emily spent time in the FS after dinner on what JR and co sleuthed to be the varandah / balcony. There was some heavy making about going on. But he did not spend the night.
IMO she was lying on that bed afterwards looking (again IMO) a little bummed out which could be because Jef left.

Also I think she and Sean reached the FD and went for a dip in the pool where they too looked pretty darn comfy (looks like she was on his lap and they were kissing lol). I don't believe she allowed him to stay over.

Arie - we have dinner SCs and then passionate kissing in the streets. So he may or may not have reached the FD.

I think none of them actually spent the night.

I agree with this 100%. My gut tells me all were in the FS for a little while but all are shown leaving.

I have a feeling if she chose him, they either talked to them on skype or went to visit them soon after the show wrapped. Columbia is only an hour to an hour and a half from Charlotte, a fairly easy drive.

I can assure you that TPTB do not take any chances of the lead and his/her F1 being seen together during the airing of the show. It would be highly unlikely that they would let them go visit his parents at this time. I know someone posted that Jef was in Houston and then Knoxvile and then on to Ashville, NC, but I would be shocked if TP even let him in NC as the F1. jmo With twitter & FB and other social media, it is too easy to follow their movements these days.

I don't disagree, but as I live fairly close by and almost went to USC for grad school, I can tell you that Columbia is a bit of a college town. And having lived in Austin, which was also a bit of a college town and state capital, the place had a lot less people in it in the summer time.

Depending on where they are in Columbia, it wouldn't be that hard to get Emily who lives 90 miles away from there, to Columbia, or even if Jef's parents are allowed to travel within 200 miles for them to visit her.

I don't know and have no proof, but having driven between Charlotte and Columbia for shopping and other things, it really isn't that far.

Didn't Jason talk to Melissa's parents by phone since they didn't meet him on her HTD? I think it was shown in the last episode. Maybe something similar happened this season, and we will see a call/skype between Emily and the Holm parental unit on the finale.
