Most people are running with the Emily is in love with Chris Harrison rumor, but overlooking the US Weekly rumor that Emily is the only lead who did not give CH her phone number and has basically frozen him out.

The star mag rumor is more scandalous so it gets more coverage I guess.

I wonder if he's going to have to have a clip outside of the mansion to address it or will MF himself stand in for him since CH is at the center of the story? giggling

I saw Chris in person a few years ago here in town. He and his wife at the time were in town for the JimmyV golf tournament. He actually looks very handsome in off TV, relaxed mode - without the makeup and totally perfect hair. I could see why Em might go for him.

I know most do feel that the lack of ATFR is nothing but as of now it is giving me pause and I know I am not alone in this.

Archer said that in Ashleys season, they had already announced the dates etc. but (my memory isn't good) but I do remember that at this stage we still didn't have any evidence for an ATFR and also there was no declaration from Ashley that she had found love and was engaged.

We were still discussing the possibility of a washout for the season because of Bentley.

Could someone pull out the exact dates when these things surfaced for Ashleys season ?

the whole thing is nothing but rubbish anyway.....it's almost a Perfect Storm, CH recently became single, throw in rumours of Brad and M in contact and the media storm surrounding the Cassie/Arie thing - it only made sense that someone thought to fabricate an M/CH union.

I don't believe the tabloid stories, but I do think there is something different going on this time around. Maybe TPTB decided to mix things up a bit and it's nothing more than that.

They need to schedule an ATFR.

This is not quite the publicity angle that I expected to take off. Hopefully, The Machine and CH aren't complicit with this one but it's somewhat novel as far as scandals or gossip for this show goes. It presents a running theme of sorts after the Cassie/Arie thing - that the behind the scenes stuff is more interesting than the show itself to entities currently trying to attract readers.

I didn't mention it but yesterday when I open my browser webpage, comcast, there was a video article about Chris H, and Emily being a couple and I just shook my head. Where do these things get started? scratch

Great question. Sometimes these type of rumors are purely PR tactics and planted stories just to retain or build interest. Other times, especially in the age of social media, someone can jokingly make a statement and it takes off with a life of its own. Especially, when someone with history on the show or the participants, chime in with an opinon such as Vienna and apparently a few others did. This gives it just enough credibility to spin it as speculation even if there's no validity.

While MF's denial tweet yesterday "addressed" it, the fact that he said anything at all, draws even more attention to it. Suspect

Perhaps it is simply this week's hot topic going into a holiday period if there's not a lot going on in the show to attract attention.

Emily and Chris H.?

It would explain a few things that look "different", but finding it hard to believe. Star has it. I know they are major embellishers, but do they do flat-out lies?

Seriously doubt this. If I have to believe a story about not choosing an F1 from the bachelors, I would go with Brad.

Guess this is great for the show. If this is a falsely planted story, I think it's easy to know who did the planting.

Millsy made a joke that Emily was secertly in love with him on twitter yesterday. I think they don't mind rumours out there about the lead, but they don't want CH involved or any rumours involving Ch and a contestant/lead.

I posted this in the Roberto thread - but there's a question as to how much Em got paid--- i think it's bullshit - I suspect she got at least 3 times that

Bachelorette alum Roberto Martinez -- who split from fiancee Ali Fedotowsky in November 2011 -- is demanding a big payday to be the next Bachelor.

"He wants a deal near what Emily [Maynard] asked for, around $750,000," says an ABC source of the San Diego insurance agent, 29, in talks to return to the franchise. "But the network will give him pretty much anything."

Maynard, however, did not receive her pricey paycheck. A source close to the 26-year-old Bachelorette star told Us, "They said no way, but she settled for something higher than $100,000, probably around $150,000."

The only person opposed to the idea of Martinez as the next Bachelor? Fedotowsky.

"Ali is dying for him not to do it," says the source. "She feels it's a slap in the face. Any chance for them reuniting is over."

PAnother source explains, ""Roberto has never shared his side of the breakup, and Ali is terrified about what he would say on the show and how she would come off. The two split in November 2011 after dating for 18 months.

But a source tells Us that Martinez is "going to do it. No question."
