There has to be an ATFR special to explain how Emily went from choosing Jef at the FRC to being in love with Chris Harrison presently.

They are just trying to find a host because obviously CH will be sitting next to Emily during the ATFR explaining their new relationship! :laughingoutlou

I can definitely see the possibility of a cliff hanger For the FRC/ATFR .. To be shown the same night .. Like maybe on the 18th .. The open slot .. Sure would keep fans in their hot seats .. I can almost see the possibility of a wedding as well .. The veil of secrecy this season and all that

That's an option. But it's about ratings and selling ad time. The media buyers who would buy time on Castle wouldn't necessarily want to buy ads on MTA or ATFR. And these grids are published for their benefit, in three week advance chunks. But yes, of course, changes can happen. With each passing week or soon, day, it becomes less and less likely.

I still would agree it will happen. I'm just patiently waiting to see when and how, as the options narrow. Nance is out there July 7-9, there are multiple twitter or other production references to MTA. ABC ordered 10 120 minute episodes, which is what the production company goes off to cast, produce, film, and edit for airing. It would be odd to substitute different programming in any of those 10 slots. But of course, if could be arranged.

The MTA isn't usually filmed this close to the finale .. Usually 2 weeks prior .. With the ATFR filmed around the time that this MTA is being done

I took her to mean that MTA would air Saturday instead. There is precedent for a Saturday MTA.

How far in advance did they schedule Ashley's MTA and ATFR? Wasn't it just a couple of weeks?

but the MTA usually airs the week before the finale - which it isn't this season - they usually film 7-10 days before airing.

cool - didn't realize Castle was airing on Sat nights - not a good night for MTA if you ask me.
