I think all municipal water is treated, isn't it? I'm not being snarky - really thought that to be the case.
In my personal case, we live in the country with well water as our only source. Straight out of the well would be yucky, that's why we have a water softener and a water filter - so it's more potable. Here's an interesting article about bottled water coming from municipal sources and other questionable sources for those who are interested. If you're not interested, please scroll on.

Sorry to be so off-topic. I shall get off my soapbox now.
Bottled water is NOT an eco friendly product, period. Your graphic tells the story perfectly. Bottled water companies like Coke (Dasani) and Pepsi (Aquafina) don't care. The ones that want shelf space at Trader Joe's or Whole Foods type stores do care, but the degradable bottles (which IMPROVE but don't RESOLVE the issue) are very expensive.
There are infinite superior more efficient more carbon friendly means to drill wells in third world countries, which is an extremely laudable goal.
My younger son attends a private, highly progressive middle school. Waste free lunches, etc. They are not allowed to bring bottled water to school. They are trained to use refillable stainless steel water bottles. That's the eco-friendly DOGMA these days.
So what "Cody" was talking about is a challenge for start up bottled water companies. Their target market -- affluent liberals -- if they are smart about ecology at all knows that the "right" answer is to avoid bottled water, and donate money to drill wells.
The Grand Canyon has banned sales of bottled water inside the park. Utah national parks are trying to do the same. Colleges are doing this as well. http://www.heraldextra.com/news/national/ivy-colleges-shun-bottled-water-in-a-jab-at-billion/article_d6f0b720-43fa-59e8-bbe8-693a33d45363.html
And wow, am I now off topic or what.
I find it odd that nothing has been said about Coke, Pepsi ect being in plastic bottles and have been forever.. I wonder if people think when they reach for the 2 liter bottle of Coke. "Oh no this is the same as bottle water"????
Neither Coke, nor Pepsi promote themselves as 'eco-friendly', pseudo-charitable corporations... even thought the charitable work done by BOTH dwarfs the efforts of People Water, as laudable as PW's efforts are.
Research the Coca-Cola company's water efforts, for example, you may be surprised.

Hey Rich, I live in the land of Coca-Cola and went to Emory for graduate school where practically every other building is named after the family that started Coke. They not only do good things for water, but support education, as well as the near and dear to my heart biomedical research.
But I am still impressed with little guys like PW trying to make a difference. My bff and I joke that we do what we do and get paid very little money for it because of some crazy stupid desire to help humanity.

That's why I included the phrase, "as laudable as PW's efforts are." As are yours, I'm sure!

You went to Emory?!? *sigh* I fell hook, line, and sinker for one of those smarty pants studs over spring break one year. It was magical - thanks for the memories!

Small world, noobsleuth. Quite a few cuties at Emory. Where were you spring breaking? I grew up in Florida too. BTW, I love Arie too, and Jef. I bet they are a lot of fun together.
Thank you, Rich. Have you stopped partying from the Heat win yet? I was torn between cheering for the Heat (I love LeBron) and the Thunder and KD (as a good Longhorn girl). Kinda of glad the Heat got this one, but next year maybe the Thunder.

Yeah... the party's over... back in the Marlins funk... that'll hold me over till I transition to the TB Bucs funk later in the summer... which I hope will be a lot better than last year... lol
The Thunder are young and extremely talented... they'll be back! (I was a Magic fan for close to 20 years, it's taken me a while to get on the Heat train, but I'm a big believer in supporting the home team! I can even almost tolerate the Dolphins the last couple years...lol)

Rich, the Dolphins really? What about the bitterness of the perfect season (yes Dolphin fans still love to bring it up as the last 15-20 years have been nothing to talk about). Sadly enough, I listened to a lecture today on Achilles tendon injuries and was insulted that there was not picture of Dan Marino, cost him the end of a great career.
I am sorry about the Marlins, Braves aren't much better if that helps. You could try the Rays, at least they make life exciting...
My nephew is a rabid Magic fan, and I like them okay, but honestly until DH puts on his big boy pants and just makes a decision the whole situation is hard to watch.
I had adopted the Spurs from living in Texas so long, but I am thinking I will switch to the Thunder more permanently. KD is a joy to watch and seems like a pretty decent guy too. And no, I still can't support the Hawks, too many bad years of management screwing the team over to get over it yet.

Yeah, I am going to miss you guys. I have always disliked OU and Arkansas much more than A&M. My university I am at now is being renamed and a lot people want to rename it A&M. Would kind of make me go full circle.
I wish y'all the best of luck in the SEC, those people make Texans look even more easy going. I mean levels of crazy you have never seen. Rapid fans who never even attended a university, let alone the one they will die for.
