Re: Bachelorette 8 - Videos - Discussion
The thing I wonder about with Sean is - is he striving for perfection for himself and therefor looking for perfection in a mate? If this is the case - he'd better realize there's no such thing as perfection or he'll end up alone which would truly be a pity because he seems as though he loves kids and he has the makings (from what we've seen) of a great husband.
Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience. Going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than standing in your garage makes you a car.

Much like I can't take Jef's fangirls' words that he is a great guy. It goes both ways. Same goes for all the other guys too.
Sean is giving a limited explanation for the demise of their relationship. There is likely much more to it than that. If you decide to believe Sean is some horrible person when he's in relationships, that's your choice, just like I'm inclined to believe he isn't.
I really shudder what some of you would think of my roommate and how her relationship with her ex-fiance eventually came to an end. Truthfully, people do much worse than what Sean did and end of having perfectly good relationships with someone else. My guess is Sean just hasn't found "the one" and when he does she will be one lucky girl.
Hi
I dont know who you are and I dont know why you are so bothered that I think Sean is a creep. As u say, it's my choice to believe that Sean is a creep as I am very sensitive to sociopathic traits when I see them. And I see them in Sean.
I'm not really bothered by your opinion, I'm just stating mine which is clearly in opposition to yours.
For the record, I don't think there are any sociopathic traits in any of the guys this season. And I think saying such takes it a little too far. JMO.
I'll point out that "not really bothered" means that u were somewhat bothered.
I dont have a problem with opinions opposite of mine. Just state them. Here's mine:
No empathy = sociopathic trait :Frown:

To me, not really bothered means I'm not actually bothered by your opinion. So no, I'm not bothered but you're free to think otherwise.
And here's mine: we don't know the full story of their break-up so I'm not gonna say Sean has no empathy.

It is going to take a lot to convince me Arie, Jef or Sean are bad guys at all!!!
"My goal in life is to be as good of a person as my dogs already think I am"
"God puts the right people in our lives when the timing is just right." - Jef
"Love is everything it's cracked up to be…It really is worth fighting for, being brave for, risking everything for" - Nick
"What I felt for you was greater than a moment" - Nick
"I knew I loved you right away & I didn't even know why" - Ben
"You're my person" - Lauren

Re: Bachelorette 8 - Videos - Discussion
Does anyone think that Brad will make an appearance on the tomorrow nights episode? I hadn't even imagined that until Natalie Getz tweeted about watching the episode and laughed, cried and threw something at the tv. Then Ashley Spivey tweeted after seeing it that everyone will be shocked at tomorrows episode. When someone tweeted to her that they were going to have to go look at the spoilers, Ashley tweeted back that the spoilers would not help with this. Asked if it was good or bad, she said "I guess I would say a little of both".
I then remembered the video sneak peek of the episode where it talks about taking the guys to the fantasy suite and the voice says "but someone is NOT INVITED!" What do yall think? Is it possible that Brad Womack makes a surprise appearance. Now that would be shocking!

I actually had that thought, too. I remember at the M&G, when Kalon was just about to get out of the helicopter, someone (I think Jef) says, "Maybe it's Brad." I went hmmmm... that WOULD be shocking that he would show up this season. Add to that that L&S article about EM texting Brad. Maybe she found out and was texting him to stay the h#&* away!

And here's mine: we don't know the full story of their break-up so I'm not gonna say Sean has no empathy.
First let me state that I am a woman. Now let me say, why is it all the guys fault if we stay in a relationship with a man for three years, and everytime we (the female) brings up marriage he changes the subject? Shouldn't we know better? Shouldn't our friends smack us verbally or physically and say he isn't going to marry you, if that is what you want, move on?
If you realize that the relationship isn't going anywhere put on your big girl panties and break up with the guy. If he is comfortable where he is and you aren't pressuring him for more, than why should he change it?
I hate when we characterize men as bad because they don't consider our feelings before their own. Most people I know consider their own feelings before those of others, male and female. So I guess instead of calling someone a sociopath, why not call the girl co-dependent? Where is the responsibility of a woman for her own happiness?

I agree that after a while, the woman has to realize that he is not gonna marry u and give up. But that doesnt excuse the fact Sean gives lip service about how his pop taught him to 'be a man', yet he couldnt MAN UP and be honest with someone he SUPPOSEDLY loved and strung her along for 3 yrs. If that is how he treats someone he loves, he doesnt know the meaning. And by the way he talked about it, I doubt he will anytime soon.
And I am done. I have no doubt that there will be plenty of people saying something about this when E9 airs.
