As for the preview, well, I hope that Sean doesnt say ILY. As we saw from the Grapevine preview, that loving someone means that Sean has no trouble stringing the 1 he loves along for THREE EFFIN YRS and I wouldnt want to wish that on my worst enemy.

Yes! I am surprised that more people have not picked up on this....maybe after the episode runs. It tells me that Sean is narcissistic, not just picky. Where is a sense of empathy with the other person's needs? It assumes that the girlfriend is better off with him regardless of the depth (or lack of) of his feelings, or else it is just plain selfish. He talks about himself as a virtuous man, but this is not virtuous behavior. p.s. I am not a Sean hater! I just don't think he is good husband or father material until he does some heavy duty self-examination.

Interesting you should mention this - it reminded me of a tweet or FB post by a sister of his ex-girlfriend. It was very early in the season and she said something to the effect of "oh good luck with that Emily. He's a total narcissist." I can go back and look for it if you don't remember it.

I am glad that others are voicing in on this. I was frankly surprised that noone else had mentioned it so far. I checked the Sean thread and nada. And I wasnt interested in peeing on their Sean lovefest.

I was absolutely repulsed by the lack of empathy and the total lack of remorse when he talked about Brooke. I no longer think he is a dumb, bland himbo. I think he has serious issues at the very least.

Did we ever hear from Sean about when he realized he loved this girl, but was not "in love" with her? Three years is a very long time to be with someone you are not in love with, and to keep disregarding that person's talk about marriage. If the marriage talk happened earlier than near the end of the break up, then it was really selfish not to have ended that relationship then and there. No sense staying with someone and delaying their chances for finding someone else who will fall in love with them, who will marry them.

Interesting if the former GF thinks he's narcissistic.

I do see this possibility in TV Sean. (this resonates) He is inordinately confident when around Emily, when her connection to him and their time together (unromantic, robotic Tower of London dinner comes to mind) is wooden and scripted, to me, apart from the production-orchestrated shmoochey time in Prague. That struck me as a "salvage" from her decision to send Ryan packing in Croatia, which perhaps surprised production. (but equally likely, was at their direction, such is the reality of this show). Why is he so confident and cocky? I had assumed it was the usual reason, i.e., that producers were constantly feeding his ego with how perfect he was for Emily, how she thought so too, talked about him all the time, etc. But perhaps it's equal part narcissism.
