Arie is a frontrunner at this point, if not, THE frontrunner. The Cassie and Arie stuff may be dismissed by some presently since it conflicts with Love's spoilers and confirms RS'. Love's spoilers state that the Cassie/Arie news was a "non-issue" for Emily while RS said that it infuriated her. The fact that the show is airing the raw footage of her reaction supports, IMO, that Emily didn't take it very well.

The crux of this matter rests on the resolution of it. If we don't see Emily confronting Arie about it on Monday night and she allows it to spill into subsequent weeks such that it erodes her trust in him simply because he's not telling her, then Arie's omission causes Emily not to trust him. Poor guy doesn't even know that she didn't know about Cassie. If this Cassie stuff drags on into HTDs or into FDs, then it was an issue that divided her from Arie. If they do discuss it head-on and work through it in Prague, then we have verification that the spoilers most likely are correct, that Cassie wasn't the issue, and that Emily chose Jef freely and willingly with love in her heart.

One thing i notice from watching the season is that Emily is very good at asking the right questions to dismiss the guys she's not interested in.

But when it comes to guys that she does care about such as Arie, her way may ruin the relationship. I think the Cassie/Arie connection may be one of the hurdles for Emily and Arie to overcome and possibly a chance for them to prove how well they can communicate. I can't help but relate to the Bentley situation and we all saw how Ashley and JP worked through it together in their season and it actually made them stronger as a couple.

Again, this is just my opinion. We all have to wait to see how it is played out.

Totally agree, communication is key to any good relationship. It is so hard for me to know what kind of communication she has with each guys with such small amounts of highly edited programing.
I remember that Ben said that he and Courtney had great communication....I didn't see that at all

I find that the truth is generally the opposite of whatever Chris Harrison says it is. :Smiley:

"We want to show people that yes there was something there, but it wasn’t the biggest calamity in the history of the show,” Harrison told TV Guide this week.

His word choice - calamity - is pretty darn extreme. (As in - we ruined a good thing between Emily and Arie but it wasnt a calamity in that she was able to shift gears and go with her second choice.) I think that if it wasnt the biggest calamity, it certainly was up on the list of the top ten. But thank goodness, Emily did what she promised to do...as Fleiss tweeted,

I agree, but at this point, the edit is telling us that Arie is in love with Emily, and Emily seems well on her way to being in love with Arie. The resolution of the Cassie issue will explain the ending and show us the reason that Jef is her chosen guy. They need to show the general audience the reason that Arie, this guy who has essentially monopolized much of the episodes and figured largely in last week's episode, is not the guy that she chooses. By not only bringing forward the Cassie issue but eventually resolving it, whether in Prague or beyond, it shows the audience the reason that he's cut at F3. Arie's demise also lays the groundwork for Jef and Sean's rise, which, for Jef, needs to happen in more pronounced ways for the general audience than the subtleties to date in order to explain Jef as her F1.

Sure, tensions rise, but I try to remember that, next season, I may totally be in love with the same person as someone with whom I might not see eye-to-eye this season. Fun of the board!

Veg, ITA with all the above, especially to the unspoiled viewers this is crucial. I think the Prague episode will be the turning point of the season. I just hope we see more of Sean, because I don't really get his edit yet. I get Arie's and Jef's, but am still waiting for more from Sean.

What I don't get it if Arie was that caught up in her, why he didn't just say "screw it"....and tell her they forbid him to mention it??

I would love to know when Arie & Em actually discussed it.

I always thought Emily was talking about Ryan in that voice over when she says "there's just something about him I don't trust ". After reading Jef's interview on the conference call where he says Arie told him that he thinks Emily doesn't "trust" him for some reason, I think she is talking about Arie. Jef said he didn't learn about it (Cassie/Arie) until after he got home from filming. Jef said after finding out about that, he said "Well, Duh"! That made me raise my eyebrows a little bit that he didn't know about Arie/Cassie until he got home. Arie obviously didn't share that info with his good friend, Jef, after his date with Em in Prague. Jef said he and Arie always talked about their dates with her and were not jealous of each other because they were such good friends. Also, if she picked Jef, it looks like Em would have told him about it herself. Go figure. That sure got me to thinking that maybe Jef is not F1. However, he said quite a few things that made me think he is F1. Mostly that statement about their relationship was more special than any of the other guys in the house or anyone she has EVER dated. That sounded like a jab at Brad. Brad's name had just been brought up in the conference call interview. Of course, that would include Ricky Hendrick as well and I doubt Em would ever say her relationship with Ricki's father was less special than her relationship with someone she has known a few months and been on about 4 dates with (including HTD & FD).JMO

I bought the Life & Style magazine today and RS is right about that "Exclusive Bachelorette Interview" "Yes, I'm Engaged". How do these rags get away with such lies? Every Emily & CH quote in the article is taken from interviews they have given elsewhere to other "news" sources, in Emily's premiere intro package and during the show. Any NEW stuff was a quote from an "insider" or a so-called "pal". I guarantee you Emily has told noone the ending to this show. She told Jimmy Kimmel that her mother doesn't even know. If that's true, you can bet your behind that a "pal" doesn't know. If any of these sources they have used are legit, they have to be a crew member on the show. I wouldn't doubt that L&S made this whole story up. This story is a joke. If the FRC is in the courtyard of the resort just after midnight, it has to be someone on the show. Emily DID NOT give L&S an interview, must less an EXCLUSIVE interview. Where is my $2.99?

As far as Jef saying he didn't know until he got home......maybe Arie didn't tell him, and he couldn't very well say Em told him, without giving too much away. I get the feeling Jef was trying to be very careful with his words.
