Even if it wasn't coached, it seemed awkward to me as well or maybe abrupt is a better word. No doubt Emily got into it, and I guess Arie had been thinking that's what he wanted to do, so he got to it.

The kissing edits are always difficult to draw conclusions from, IMO. We never know how much footage they actually have and are not showing, or if they are showing everything they have for one contestant and nothing for another. They can choose what kissing footage they want to tell a story for each episode. Oh how I would love to have uncut video of some of these dates to really see just what goes on!

I don't think they had to coach Arie to kiss her and if you look at the scene It doesn't look like they are in front of the same door when he nails her against the wall. I think it looks awkward because of the choppy editing going into it but the kiss wasn't awkward at all. I don't know why the would edit out all the steaminess of Jef and Sean and leave it all in for Arie. I think if they had footage of any kiss that was as hot as Arie's they would use it. I actually felt kind of bad for Sean. You know Emily had to be comparing Arie's wall kiss with Sean's.

During Monday's episode I noticed that when Sean and Emily were kissing during the group date it was pretty much close mouthed and when it appeared that they were going to deepen the kiss, the camera showed us the back of Sean's head, so there was no way to tell whether it really did deepen or not.

Reading JBF who is great on edits. Its something they do for a lot of F1's and they have used it a lot for Jef this year (once he stepped up and started kissing her). Its buried somewhere in the Edit threads.

I am tending to believe it isn't TPTB. Remember Emily has always stated she is a mother and wants to act respectfully for her daughters sake. So if Emily is really really really into a guy or two. She doesn't want to show the deep kisses because of her daughter. To me that would also explain why we didn't see a evening dinner of Emily and Jef. Probably because it was so obvious who she is in love with.

Thanks for mentioning this! It's been his head or her hair on several occasions blocking the view. The conversations come across as so snipped to me, too. You'll hear her talk about her feelings in a PI and sometimes I wonder what he said to make her feel that way beyond what they've shown. It's like you have to fill in the gaps or make assumptions - which can be a slippery slope.

We didn't see dinner for Emily and Jef the last episode because their date was the same day as the Rose Ceremony. They had their date went back changed and went to the Rose Ceremony that evening . As such they didn't have dinner.

that's crap - she's been sticking her tongue down multiple throats - there is nothing respectful in that. If she actually thought of her daughter - she at least would keep her off our TV screens. Besides, I would hope that 7 yo Ricki isn't watching this show.

That said...don't think Jef was talking about burning one...he has a company image to protect. Don't buy it...he was thinking weekend at Bernie's dance. Don't know that he meant anything deep and meaningful by the song post...but hey, anything can happen. They could have gotten married and divorced by now. Puff, puff, pass..and don't bogart.
