Episode 2 - 5/30 - Discussion - Spoilers

I would love to see them go back to the old format of fewer episodes and cut it back to an hour – the longer episodes and the longer seasons really brings out the ‘why the fuck am I watching this shit” in me.

I do kind of get pbmax's feeling that all is a little strange/off. Given RS's F4 line up of Constantine, Ben, JP and Ames. I'm a little baffled by what they have shown us so far. The first episode saw connections for Ryan, JP, Ben and William. Yet episode 2 shows very little of Ash's interactions with Ryan, Constantine, Ames or Ben. Admittedly Ben had quite a few PIs. Previously even with the drama (Wes, Justin R) we got to see connections of the lead with their F1,2,3 (Kip and Ed) and (Rob, Frank). After episode 2 we are suppose to think Will and Bentley are the front runners, yet both will hurt her pretty early on and none of them make the final 4??? Now with the comments in CH's blog that production of the show was nearly derailed because of the Bentley controversy it does beg the question of whether this season was a bit of a train-wreck, and whether Ash just went through the motions, a la Deanna? Jesse was never a believable F1. The only other train-wreck season that comes to mind was the Jill/Ed debacle.

I'm interested to see how much we see of Ben in the next few episodes. When does he get his first 1-1? They've gotta give us something of them together for him to be a believable contender.

I can’t remember for certain, but I think Ben F’s 1:1 doesn’t come til episode 5.

I think the way JP looks at her says a lot, I see the sparks. They showed him in a PI after the rose ceremony kiss, he looks very happy! He said he went into the cocktail party feeling down because of losing the coin flip but now, "to have it excel to this level, I'm on cloud 9!" He's beaming.

I guess this should be in the editing thread but so far from what I have seen JP has been getting the competative edit. It started in episode 1 where the camara has panned to his face a couple of times during the fir and the rc as well. It was highlighed a lot more in this one. Not sure what to make of it but for sure thats his edit for now.
As to the lack of screen time of the other contenders it does baffle. Surely she had 1 on1 time with BenF during the vegas date. But it wasn't shown. The only thing that was show during ep1 is a few pis re Will (I think). We did not get a futhuring of Benfs story at all. Same with the other f4.

What I’ve seen of JP’s edit right now screams Jason and Deanna. He had a lot of reaction shots – many were convinced she was going to pick him – he didn’t say much negative at all, but when he did he was thinking what the audience was thinking (I remember when he said something about ‘if Graham gets into that house, that’s competition). Both Chris L and Roberto had some competitive comments, as did Vienna. Doesn’t always mean any one thing – just something else to discuss, I guess.

Came in late to the show last night and joined just as they were dancing. Bentley is so darned smarmy, oily, greasy, you name it, he's a jerk and even if I didn't know he was there for the wrong reasons (LOL - such a cliched phrase) I wouldn't like him. He is just so classless.

I can't wait to see Ashley get her hands on Bentley at the MTA!! That is IF he even has the fortitude to show up!!

I would even get a kick out of seeing them turn the audience loose on him!!

This guy came on the show for business exposure...and to be a PITA.
Why give him anymore time? His 5 minutes are up. No sense in having him there to stir the pot and try to vindicate himself or humiliate Ashley and the men who were there for the "right" reasons any further.
Ok--so TPTB will definitely have him there. :twisted:

I'm sure after next week show airs, and he becomes even more hated, he wouldn't dare show up at the MTA - Wes didn't. But Wes did RS, how much you wanna bet Bentley does RS....??
