Some of the guys would have preferred Emily or Chantal but definitely not all. In the end the only thing that matters is her F1 is crazy about her and she's crazy about him. If she's happy with an F1 right now (and I believe she is) I bet he wouldn't trade her for Em or Chantal or anything. Who knows if their relationship will be intact 6 months from now, but "who the guys expected" on night one is irrelevant now. It's like musing about how many women wanted Chris L. as the Bach last season, it doesn't matter.

FYI.................I charted the amount of PI's for the guys during tonight's show. I only counted the PI's that happened at the mansion or on the group date as the ones on the individual dates are lopsided.

IA, those guys who watched the show thought they were coming to meet Emily. Heck, I bet the majority of the viewers wanted the Bette to be Chantal after Emily was picked. I know I did. Poor Ashley, she knew this coming in and that's a big blow to anyone's confidence. I find it odd that they are screening Bentley (mainly) and then Will dissing the Bette. I wonder if this is crucial to the storyline and will explain Ashley's actions further in to the series. Does she get cold feet and proceed cautiously after this? Does she question whether her final few guys are there for her? Is this the obstacle she will overcome? Will she throw caution to the wind and let herself fall for somebody, knowing they may not love her back? All sounds a bit familiar doesn't it?

JP is still looking like the front runner to me at the moment. Even though she willingly kissed JP last night, I still sensed a certain level of caution on Ash's part, just like her comment in the first episode about she's not sure whether JP will be the one calling her cupcake in the end? This creates the doubt that is needed. JMO

PBmax....I would love to hear your take on JP/Ash interactions so far. You usually have a knack for this!

I agree there is doubt with JP. As JBF noted, we don't even get any of his reactions after spending time with the lead. What did he think of the kiss? Does he like her as a person?

hey guys - I didn't know this thread existed.......

havent' watched all of last nights show - i caught some of the cocktail party, Ash and Ben C, and Ash and Bentley up to the previews. I'm not impressed with this season - for someone who supposed to be rather intelligent, I find her moronic.

Who's F1 - I dont' know - looks like JP, but we all know Mr. Obvious isn't always the F1 - remember how we all (well, almost all) thought Deanna was going to pick Jason.....some folks were convinced Ali was going to pick Chris, or Jill was going to pick Mr. Invisible Reid.

I'm just going to leave the supposed F4/F5 out of my post and gush about some of the other contestants on there.

I got a serious crush on West - he set my heart pitter patter yesterday and seemed a really great guy. I also loved Ben (the lawyer) and Blake the dentist. I would be completely distracted if he were checking my teeth.

I enjoyed watching ep 2 merely because we saw a little more insight into the guys that didn't quite make it nearer the end and thats nice to see. They are handsome accomplished men and plus eye candy and I'm therefore glad the focus has been on them at least a bit.
Bentley just creeps me out and I really question Ashleys "gut". Clearly she needs it examined. I think overall she is going OTT on too many guys which will make reading her a bit tough. She's just all over the place.
Just a few of my thoughts on ep 2.

All I can think to post is that this show is not any good for the first four maybe even five episodes, wiling away the hours watching Also Ran's on hyped up "romantic" dates where there is no chemistry, seasoned with spliced in Cartoon Characters like The Mask. About as interesting as mayonnaise on white bread. As for our lead, this chick is coming across as Book Smart / Boy Stupid. I think the way to watch is to tune in midstream, maybe around F6 on the TV, and then go back to You Tube and pick up the 1:1 time or dates with the ones who are contenders. I'm too many seasons into this (as is production) to be remotely entertained by masks, and "shocking" PI's. Yawn.
