Thanks so much!
It's in the archived media thread...video thread #3, page 42. Sorry I don't know how to bring it over, hope you find it!
Got it, thanks so much!!

Ok so the whole wedding answer is bothering me now. I'm thinking it was pretty weird. Sweet but so so odd! First he says he doesnt know if Arie is engaged ???? Well I'm pretty sure he would. If he is engaged to Emily than Arie couldn't be and he continues to say they remained friends and he thinks Arie will invite him to the wedding? And the reason he knows for a fact things wouldn't be weird should Arie be engaged to Emily is because why? Does he mean its b/c one of them is engaged to her and they are still cool?! The strangest part of all is him saying he would go to the wedding but wonders if it would be weird for Emily. I took that like he is conceeding that he lost but is concerned she would feel bad with him being ther b/c she didn't pick him but he still wants to go anyway because he loves them both. Random who could have that kinda strength if you fell in love with this girl?
I dunno ... I know many are throwing a parade over this interview so maybe I'm just :sourgrapes: But some of it sounds like he won and some seemed like he could care less. The whole never dating on tv again and not being the Bach made me lean toward him not enjoying his overall expierence.

Obviously, he's going to disguise the truth, so he's doing the best to do that, by saying he doesn't know if Arie's engaged. If he said yes, that would cause problems. If he said no, that would cause problems. What else could he say?
And then he's asked, wonder if it's Emily? So, he has to go along with that and explain how he'd feel and how she might feel, which is either real, or just how he supposes it would be, if it were so.
I'm sure he knows. He just has to answer the question vaguely.

But doesn't it seem a little odd? Jef tells us he and Arie discussed their dates and that Ari expressed that Em seemed upset he was hiding something. Jef also tells us that he quizzed Em on her relationships with the other guys. If Arie is his best bro on the show and Em is his #1 gal, shouldn't it have come up--at some point? Not positing some big conspiracy theory, just find it strange.
Still can't get over that they are falling in love with the same girl and they are not a tiny bit jealous of each other. It is human nature to be jealous. You are somewhat intimate, falling in love, and then sharing the details about it. Umm...

So why wouldn't he just say something like "You know I can't answer that. It would give the ending away." Pretty direct and not speculative or hypothetical in any way. I don't understand the answer he chose to give, especially because he does know the ending.

I agree. Speaking of Jef's comments about the Arie/Cassie situation, I found it noteworthy that he did not find out about it until he got home. Sure seems to me that Emily would have mentioned it to him!
I can't imagine Jef not asking her about it.
How could he have asked if he didn't know?
He knew per his and Arie's conversations that Arie was feeling like Emily didn't trust him. I don't think it's out of the realm of reality that they wouldn't discuss this on their mini vacay after filming wrapped.

Any links to that affect? Think it's sour grapes? Jealousy if so? I think Joe coming out and saying Emily is into Jef because of his deep pockets was very classless and tacky. Especially since she seemed to like him, but realized they didn't mesh in areas important to her.doantam wrote:it is strange that the two strongest contenders are best friends in the house, are not jealous of each other and appears to share things about their dates.
One would think at this stage it is natural to feel a little bit of jealousy if you are really falling in love.
It also seems like, from Arie and Jef's interviews, Arie and Jef segregate themselves from the rest of the guys. All the guys that [/[b]b]left seem to be rooting for Sean. Interesting.

It all has to be vague. That must be tiring to lie all the time.
I know I know... I keep trying to tell myself that but couldn't he have gone with we'll have to watch and see ? This is why I want to read the transcript because his anwsers didn't seem all that vaque and at some parts of the interview he seemed to actually elaberate on his anwsers.
I appreciate your opinions and always do. I know you are a major fan of Jef and still always try to be as objective as possiable. I try to be also but I'm not as consistant as you .

But by Jef's own words, they didn't talk that much about the other guys. Their focus was on each other. He did mention bringing up the other guys and how their relationships were going, but it seemed like that was less frequent than anything else. I don't think it's something she needed to ask him or tell him about. Nor would it have been appropriate really by his standards to ask her about it. The only things he would want her to know were things that would be hurtful to her. Case in point, Kalon. Case not in point..the thought that Ryan wasn't right for her in the minds of the guys. That would be assuming too much it seems for him, and he wasn't going to go down that road to meddle in her relationships that way. He had his line, and if it was crossed, then he'd make sure she knew somehow, either by him or someone else if he wasn't going to see her.

For sure, Arie should have mentioned it. This in no way should be turned on Jef, nor Emily. I would bet that if Jef were in that position, regardless of what TPTB told him, he would have told her. This is on Arie, Cassie and the rest of the producers. Not Jef. Not Emily.Tiggerlgh wrote:docnash14 wrote:pavalygurl wrote:Alanna wrote:Yeah, I kinda don't get it. Why would she spend time during the show talking to Jef about Arie when she can be talking to him and furthering their relationship. I am kind of surprised though that Arie didn't mention it to him.

You can look up (google) interviews from Charlie, Ryan or any guy who gave interviews after they were off the show, except Joe of course.

If you look at that article it is not an interview but a gathering of quotes from the TV reality interviews. Particularly they used the half of the quote that Arie had said re My fiance. My guess is Jef's answer is a partial from part 2 of the Reality Tv interview (that we don't get til monday -grrh) They are putting there own spin on it.
Speaking of spins- heres mine on Jef's answer. Remember Jef has a great sense of humor and he is tricky.
Article: if Arie ties the knot with Emily. "I know for a fact it wouldn't be awkward between Arie and me, but I would wonder if it would be okay with Emily," he worried. "We had something different than what she had with any of the other guys. I would want to be there because I love and care for Emily and Arie."
He could be saying: Not awkward for Arie and me (means because I know its not true) but I wonder if it would be okay with Emily? means Emily is in love with me so it might not be okay with her?
Could easily be wrong but it is just one way of looking at it.
