Yes, several of the F2s and other contestants have had public watch parties, but I don't think an F1 ever has. Last season, when it seemed like almost every girl from Ben's season had one, it was one of the things that helped tip us off that they weren't F1. In this case, I'm not doubting that Jef is F1, but I'm baffled by all the social media clues and curious whether it represents an agreed-upon strategy by TPTB or simply their unprecedented inability to control the F1.

re: the bolded...me too! I hope we find out some day if he was just on his own program or if this is sanctioned and maybe a new approach to stir up interest in the final couple.

I remember reading that Ryan would go to the local bar with all his buddies and watch the show. His buddies didn't think he won, because he acted sad. I think there were a few others, but cant recall names. I dont think a viewing party is a big deal, it's not like he is going to tell anybody he won if he did. I also dont think him tweeting pics of himself in an airport is a big deal either. The guy travels alot for work, plus it seems he spends alot of time with his family. Him sitting in the airport waiting for his flight on the computer, doesn't give anything away. I think people are reading way too much into his tweets. He is a free spirit having fun with the producers and the fans imo. I am enjoying every minute of it. Hugesmile

mmmmmmmmm mormon? may I just remind this important detail? I did not see ANY of the LADIES around jef in bikinis and unless in private swimming pool I do not think this will ever happen............................... :thud

The issue to me is linking the promotion of his own business to ABC's brand the "Bachelorette." The old contract had a clause specifically prohibiting anything like that. I suspect the new contract maintains it. That sort of cross promotion, mentioning both brands, has the risk of confusing the public that the bachelorette has endorsed people water. That's the legal Theory behind those sorts of clauses at any rate.

Going on Twitter alone and not the spoilers, how would we in previous seasons consider Jef F1 because he took down his viewing party tweet? What F1 has hosted viewing parties with fans and not just his buddies? JP and Roberto kept mostly to themselves though they were seen in public. Neither of them hosted viewing parties; instead, they were mostly focused on work, and for JP, work and the gym. Ed was one of the past season F1s who did watch the show with his buddies at a bar, I think, but he didn't host any viewing parties with fans. Ben F. did much of the same stuff that Jef's doing and I even recall a Twitter moratorium close to the finale, but even he didn't publicize a viewing party--Constantine F3 did!

I guess he drummed up this idea because he wanted to promote his business. I don't see him doing this pool party because he's missing Emily if he just saw her when he was in Knoxville for apparently a safehouse visit. no idea

Wasn't that two days ago? Anyway, he deleted the tweet and I guess canceled the par-tay at the behest of TPTB. That he did it in the first place confounds me!

Of the F3, Sean is behaving most similarly to past F1s.

But, I'll save everyone's breath: this season is unlike every other season in the show's history, Emily did things differently, and this season, the F1's post-show social media plan is actually the one used for last season's F2. Switch it up to drive us all crazy. Sweet!

Exactly, his People water bottle is in your face as is the brand on top...plus you have to buy an item from his CO to even win the contest to come to the "Bachelorette" viewing party.
