That promo was disappointing...I'm almost annoyed by that one scene because they keep feeding it too us.

So really really happy that we got squat with Sean and Emily. I was just crossing my fingers that we did not get a heavily loaded scene this episode and they gave a lot more with Jef1. Good - totally on-board with that now. Things are as they should.

And Laura - very disappointed about the promo. They gave us the same scenes for Sean and Jef and added some meat to the other guys like Chris and John of all people. Nothing of Doug - wonder what happened there ?
Of course Arie is front and centre next episode.

I was also sad we didn't get a lot of Sean time but am thinking I finally get why Emily chose Jef if Jef is her F1. and the promo... pffffffffltt that wasn't enough to tease us into watching Prague. I don't think a lot happens drama wise until she finds out about Arie and Cassie. BTW the woman talking to Emily in the promo is that Cassie? Am kinda surprised they'd show her. and I like the fact that Arie trusted Emily's judgment. Didn't seem like Jef had that much confidence in hers. Not too sure about Sean since they only showed us him asking the question about Ryan being sent home but not his answer.

I thought tonight's episode was good. It explained a lot about why Emily would have picked Jef as F1 if rumors are true. She revealed a lot in her PI's tonight IMO. Even Sean revealed that he thought the prince in the movie Brave wasn't going to be him. and that he didn't know who it was going to be but that it might be Jef. I think Sean's more observant than anyone's giving him credit for. JMO.

He stays until the end, so I doubt it. And he's not overly competitive about her, so I don't think it's an issue. As much as he may have wanted to win the Highland Games (and it made total sense -- an athlete wanting to dominate an athletic competition), he doesn't seem terribly bothered by the thought of Emily spending time with the other guys, and we don't see him expressing negative thoughts about them, which is the mark of over-competitiveness to me, anyway. From where I'm sitting, he likes Emily a lot, but I don't see him trying to "win" her. I think he's just seeing where their relationship goes, just as she is, and that's why I think he was able to bounce back fairly quickly after the FRC.

I get where you're coming from. I think one of the things we often lose sight of is that this is a mutual process. Like Ashley said in her season, she was choosing the guys, but she realized that they needed to choose her too. Sean, by his own admission, is selective, so I'm sure that during this process, he was evaluating whether Emily was right for him. If he was seeing things in her that gave him pause, I doubt TPTB would ever let us see it -- especially considering how much they've built Emily up to be the "ultimate" Bachelorette. Honestly, I think this could be as simple as they get along great, respect each other a lot, have physical chemistry, but ultimately just aren't "it" for each other, kind of like Jillian and Kiptyn.
