The only thing that would make sense right now (outside of tptb messing with the edit to mess with our heads -- very possible) is that Emily agreed to this and asked for specific concessions from tptb including cutting out any kisses that would get her F1 jealous and doubtful (based on her experience with Brad??) or keeping her respectful image of dedicated Mommy who brings her daughter along and caters to her during filming and doesn't go off into hottub scenes cos she's a "mommy" vs. a single gal out for a fun time/adventure without an image/her role as an example to her daughter to worry about.

We'll see if they actually show the HOT kiss in prague (I actually suspect they might snip it apart no idea

) and gauge where tptb are going with the edit -- if emily really managed to wrangle that amount of control of her own image she's def way more feisty/determined than I ever gave her credit for (in a good way)

Wow..snipping/minimizing Sean's kiss and looping Jeff's..goodness..I know that I shouldn't be shocked after all of these years but I am. It's one think to know that they slice and dice convos, fade to black romantic moments but to loop kisses for impact. Heavens.

Given this insight, I certainly will enjoy any peeks of Sean that we receive moving forward even more.

That one is one I bit my tongue about. And the Jem had the best first date in the history of this show. How do I put this nicely? Hell no. In fact, I thought Sean and Emily had a better date, as did everyone I know who watches the show. Guess they are all just Jef haters too. Rolling Eyes

I was amused by Ali's blog because she compares Jef to Chris L and I see it the same way. There relationship was slow and I'm not surprised that she says there wasn't romance there. That is yet another reason the Jef as F1 rumors confuse me.

I can picture Sean being there at the end and proposing. I can picture him sitting on the couch with her on ATFR as a couple. I feel like he's the kind of guy would fit into her little family with Ricki. I could so see him being just wrapped around her finger. :rosiecolored

Yup, I'm a total dork. Just can't picture the others in any of these ways... :crazed

I wonder if the F2 guys will get to meet Ricki as a part of meeting her family before LCDs or if she only will let her chosen one meet her.

The only reason I could imagine them not showing the kiss is if there's trouble in paradise at some point before the AFTR (kind of the way the edit in Ben's season was adjusted while he and Courtney were on the outs). If she and Jef are happy in real life, there's no reason anything on the show should affect that, or should make them go from being happy to unhappy. That said, I don't have much concern that they'll cut it. I mean, we've all seen the promos already, and it's already been preserved for posterity's sake.

Hi all! I've been a huge fan of this forum for quite some now and I've finally found a place worthy of my first posting (woohoo!)

Sean is a gem through and through. To be completely honest, I hope Emily doesn't pick him for her F1 - he deserves to be with someone much better! Is it just me or is Emily getting a horrible edit this season? She comes across extremely high maintenance, needy, and pretentious.

It doesn't mean if something is in the promos it'll definitely show up in the episodes. They actually have omitted things like that which were in promos quite a few times - notably Reid & Jill's first kiss during a SQT on a group date which wasn't even *shown* though it was teased in the previews, they also omitted reid and jillian's time in a tub during their FD all together and the same for Ali & Roberto's SQT during a group date in Turkey where they were cuddled up & romantic in the previews/pics. The reasoning behind my saying it could be a possibility they would edit it in a way that we may not see the kiss in FULL is observing how much they chopped up the kiss from the past epi which was covered up with a wall and Emily's hand to a point you couldn't actually really see their lips aside for one mili-second of the kiss. It was a very obvious and deliberate editing job and whatever the reasoning behind it, it would make sense for them to keep editing similarly to keep building that storyboard. I really hope I'm wrong & I'd love it if we see the kiss in full rather than cropped apart like we saw their last kiss on the date. however, there're other reasons to believe emily has succeeded in stirring production well in a direction she wants them to focus and given the fact that she was overly sensitive about how chantal was shown she might have succeeded more than we thought. time will tell no idea

I'm not sure what they did in other seasons, But on Brads season 2.0 each time he and Emily had kissing scenes, they panned away from them i.e. distance SCs. As opposed to any Chantal kisses - they were always zoomed in and highlighted. I remember this because there were countless arguments on FORT about this. The Chantal fans claimed there was no passion between Brad and Em but in reality - there actually was some pretty hot and heavy kissing going on...except that was hidden.

Not sure what that means in terms of this season and what you guys have noticed above ^^^^.
