That's probably more likely. I have 4 pairs of Converse in my closet, and I bought them all before I knew who Jef was. :Smiley: Jef may be a trendsetter with respect to other things, but not so much when it comes to Chuck Taylors.

^^^The contrasts between Jef and Sean are so apparent in the deleted scene from this week - especially the difference in their physical builds. It's always interesting to see the final ones together to note the differences and commonalities.

At the beginning of the RC last night, there was a shot of just the two of them (when CH mentions that they both already had roses) and the physical differences between them could not have been more striking. OTOH, in their sincerity, drama-free personalities, desire to protect Emily, and love of family, they couldn't be more alike.

That's a great observation on the two of them. Besides the physical, I noticed that Jeff is much more of a talker whereas Sean seems like a man of very succinct words who keeps his thoughts to himself with regard to what's going on with the others - as he indicated in the teleconference last week - that he stayed out of the fray.

Not the best quality pic, but the iPhone flash was giving us all glowing, scary eyes in Shay's living room lighting so I turned it off for this one.

And yes, Shay & Sean are really that beautiful, both inside & out.

My snark monster gets out of control sometimes, kind of like Emily's West Virginia hood rat. :laughingoutlou My favorite pair is an avocado green pair I've had for over a year and still not worn yet. But they were such a striking shade of green that I couldn't resist. In any case, Chuck Taylors are so ubiquitous that Emily's pair weren't quite the "clue" to me that they seemed to be to other people. And now we've seen Sean wearing Chucks too. If we see Arie in some next, I'm going to assume Emily is just messing with us all. :Smiley:

What does jef wearing converse have to do with this??? converse are very popular shoes. I believe ali and Roberto wore them too. I think is just a fashion fad and no one had anything to with them wearing them except themselves. If that makes any sense

ITA, mom2brieandbray. But since Emily is such a girly-girl, when she was photographed recently with Ricki "dressed down" and wearing Chucks, some people thought that was a clue that she's with Jef. I thought it was just a clue that she owns a pair of Chucks, like hundreds of millions of other people.

Okay, I just skimmed through the Episode 5 thread, and it was just as I expected. After last night's episode, over there it is "game over" for anyone who isn't named Jef.

Maybe Jef is Emily's choice at the end. I am not doubting that. But someone please explain this to me. Why was Sean's date viewed as being so boring (he's boring) - yet some found Jef's date to be the best first 1-on-1 ever? What did I miss? He and Emily did not appear to have any fun activities, only a couple of conversations in a pub and at the London Eye.

And I was surprised that Emily grilled Arie about not coming to tell her what Kalon said, but Jef admitted that he was sitting there when it was said, and yet he is being given a pass here for not speaking up? If anyone but Jef had said that to Emily, it would not have been turned into a positive for them. Funny how that works.

So despite what is being said about Sean, I will just focus on what I see here. I am trying to just look at things as an outside observer, knowing what the ending is supposed to be, and not discount things just because that person may not be MY favorite. I think that Emily does like Sean and enjoys being around him. At this point I have to disagree with Jef's fans that say she has already fallen in love with him. Granted Emily may not end up falling in love with Sean, but I don't think that it is "game over" yet and she is 100% sure at this point that Jef is the one, especially after THAT date last night. But that is just how I see things right now, trying to be an unbiased observer here.

I know what you mean. I will be the first to admit Jef is not my type at all and therefore I don't get anything out of watching his scenes and I don't really enjoy them. And my bias toward Sean doesn't help either. However, I would not be one to say anything quite that succinct about any of her relationships, mainly because I just think its too soon. :myop:

^^^Well, I know the poll that I posted is a small sampling but it is with a national publication, it looks like the regular viewer finds Sean appealing and the best fit based on what they've seen on screen thus far. It would be interesting to know what percentage of those that voted are unspoiled.
