Thanks for posting. I like Ryan. And although we question his wording at times. When he puts "trophy wife" in this form I applaud him for thinking this way. It's a complement to any woman. I wish I saw what was edited out upto now. I believe the one poster who said he wasn't like what he is being protrayed. I believe them. Good luck to Ryan for finding his "great woman".

Here is the 2012 Banff World Media Festival's session description
"The Bachelor/The Bachelorette - Masterclass with Mike Fleiss
Mike Fleiss has created more than three dozen network television shows over the past two decades. The hallmark of his career? Controversy. Among his most controversial shows are: "Who Wants to Marry a Multi-Millionaire?," "Breaking the Magician's Code," "Are You Hot?" and "The Bachelor." Each of these programs were ratings monsters, fueled in large part by their controversial nature. Fleiss will illustrate the role of controversy on modern television and how it has become an essential part of his career.
* How to create and embrace controversy?
* What role has controversy played in reality television?
* How to handle the publicity surrounding a TV controversy?
* How is controversy your best marketing tool?"

Why must you torture us with these? :knock:
I laughed for all the wrong reasons when he labeled Ben's season a "soft" season and then thanked the almighty for Courtney.

I did watch it and it was beautifully done but so little for Kimmy to work with so had to use the same shots multiple times. I saw that Emily likes Jef a lot but I'm not seeing what I see with Arie. I have no idea if Jef is a default f1 however what makes me entertain the possibility is that Emily appears to be smitten with Arie in the previews for the next 2 epis plus the FD. She's very cozy with Arie on the FD so the only conclusion I can come to is that something happens either during or after dinner that shakes her up and causes her to doubt him. Is that really enough time to switch gears?
Albean99, I think some of us see it as her actually being quite physical and touchy with all three at the FD, so it is less of a switch gears and more of a choice as to the final one. I believe the spoiler, but I could honestly see her choosing any of the F3 with what we have seen on our screens so far. I do think this is a different season, because by F3 most of the other leads securely knew the F1 whereas I think Emily was still making or getting comfortable with the decision, so we see more intimacy with her with all three of F3. This is just my opinion and I see why others see it different, since it is so different than we have seen with the other bachelorettes, you have to go back to Trista to see a bachelorette this torn at this point. I loved that season, I wanted to move to Colorado and find Ryan and couldn't believe she actually picked him. I thought she and Charlie were equally smug and belonged together.
It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.
Totally agree with the bolded.
I can see she has 3 options. She has 3 great guys that she is attracted to for different reasons.
She is figuring it out as she goes. We'll see who she picks. I think she is doing a great job!!!

I thought MF was a liar, now I know he IS.
FACT...many things MF said in this interview are just NOT TRUE. When he talks about "what other reality tv shows do (scripting, desensitized audience so you have to put in more twists and turns, etc) he was talking about Bachelor and Bachelorette. His only honest statement was that he doesn't like the term reality because it isn't real or something like that. He said he prefers calling it alternative show?? where "anything goes." Yah, that one statement was truthful.

I thought MF's synopsis about when Jason changed his mind about Melissa was pretty degrading and rude, there was no need to raise the sex factor with Molly.....and if it was his humor, tacky nonetheless. He likes to think of himself as the 'Trailblazer' of Reality TV!!!!

He said some of the bachelors weren't interested in any of the women so it was a real challenge to try to create a believable story. He wouldn't name any names. My guesses....
1-Bob Guiney
2-Jesse Palmer
3-Lorenzo Borghese
4-Travis Stork
5-Brad Womack (first season)
If I remember correctly none of these bachelors proposed and supposedly "broke up" soon after the finale.

Re: Bachelorette 8 - Videos - Thread #3
MF stated something along the lines that Jason chose Melissa, then 48 hours later he kept thinking about his sexual encounter with Molly, called the TPTB in tears and asked if he could switch his F1......
I would not be surprised if this is what actually happened, but no need to mention it, even if as I said earlier, it is his crass sense of humor.

I am pretty sure I heard him mention 3 bachelors were not interested in any of the girls. I would say Matt Grant as he admitted that Shayne was a producer pick, Travis Stork and Brad Womack (first season).
Who is the Bachelor MF can't name for legal reasons or he will be sued?
