IMO it is a very cruel way to try and get their publicity. Sean obviously knows how it all panned out yet has to answer those very pointed questions and ensure that he does not have to slip up by keeping the answers tailored to the London episode only.

I think Emily was TRYING to be clever. "I dont have any knocks on MY door" (meaning that they probably met at a neutral site and not her house. Or maybe he climbed up her WINDOW, haha. ) but her "I gotta close all my blinds" made Jef seem like a peeping tom.

This is all very bizarre! I just read the transcript of the interview. I am wondering if they are pulling out all the stops (precedent be darned!) because of lower than expected ratings. ??

I don't think it was cruel at all. For all the bad things we could say about TPTB, I don't think they're completely heartless, and I don't think they ever would have asked Sean to do the interview if he was torn up by the way the season ended or if they couldn't trust him to be as charming as that one reporter said he was. Since this has never been done before, I agree that it was probably done to try to drum up some interest in this season and boost the anemic ratings, but it's a curious strategy. Most of the people who will see the interview or be interested enough to read it are already watching.

That said, I love that ABC asked him to do the interview, because it was great to get his insight into what we've seen so far and to see answers to questions other than the standard "Why didn't it work out between you and Emily?" questions we see in the interviews with the departed contestants. They should get the other guys to do interviews too, IMO. And bring back the video blogs!

I hope they do but so far Arie has already had his date and nothing from him. Plus Sean is not the only one with a strategic 1on1 date coming up. Plus, I think it is weird because they haven't done the video blogs at all this season and now all of a sudden this interview.
