Thanks Archer. So we will have a MTA and ATFR. Rules out Arie being at either though since he has a race to announce that day in Toronto. Unless he would miss another race just for this.

A question here: I always thought it's in their contract that the contestants have to attend either MTA or ATFR depending on where you finish... but it's quite often that someone doesn't show up at the MTA, so when can the contestant not show up at the MTA? like under what circumstances?

I don't know. I'm sure if he is going to be the next Bachelor then he may have to be there. Other F3's, Reid and Frank, where not there and I think Arie's work schedule would be enough for him to get out of it. It's his livelihood and likely would cost him maybe $10K or so.

Reid was a special circumstance. They wanted him at the ATFR cause he was a part of it. The excuse that he had an prior engagement that day for MTA was just an excuse. So that doesn't count.

Frank, yes, but that's also something special happened to him during the season.. so not sure, i think Arie will have to be there.

If we believe the spoilers from both Love_Me and RS - then Arie is possibly part of the FRC or will appear very close to it and not likely be part of the MTA but rather the FRC. So there would be no need for him to be free to attend the MTA taping.

Ben was not announced until the finale of BP2

Jake AND Brad were not announced until days before filming began, I think at a DWTS performance show. Announcing as early as the ATFR is the exception, not the norm.
